Am I Making the Decision?? Help me!

I've lived in England all my life and I always wanted to move and ever speak to my family again.

I'm having so many problems at home I just can't escape and I just want to move. My mum has a big go at me over the tiny littlest thing and shes called me liar about my Step Dad, raped me as a child.

I'm planning to do a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course in April then hopefully move (aka Japan.) I was talking to my Counsellor and shes worried that I wouldn't know anyone in Japan. But I hardly know anyone anyway.
My counsellor also said to do Babysitting/Sitter she said that i could travel around the world. For example she knows a friend who went to France for the summer to do sitting (I can't remember what the company, but I want to look into it)

I'm having terrible bad stomach pains because I'm not to sure I'm making the right decision.
To be honest I just want to move out.

Can anyone help me please :crying:

just do it. you might regret it forever if you dont....thats as far as you should think it through other than proper planning for the trip...if you doubt yourself too much you might just end up talking yourself out of a good thing....Japan sounds interesting.

I am doing the proper plan already, selling my things to move and sorting out everything what I need to bring with me and what company will ship my things.
Not finding a place to live yet until I have the job.
Also I'm bringing my cat and I already know what to do with that.

But thank you, that really calmed me down.

Yes. Do it. When I graduated high school I wanted to travel (I still do) and I never went because I just never really did anything to make it happen. Go now while you have the opportunity. I would be glad to go overseas to teach English.

Have you thought about moving out but staying in England? Japan has a very different language and they don't speak English very well. Living in Tokyo can be pretty expensive. Unless you already have a guaranteed job, it can be a very risky move.
But I still think moving out is the best decision, whether you go to Japan or somewhere else.

I was thinking on this, but my family will always track me down. Like I go to a friends and they harass me (no joke)
Also already spoken to TEFL and they said I don't need a degree and I don't have to speak their language well any in Asia. They like the Teachers to speak english throughout the lesson. So that part is not a problem.

Also I have a boyfriend in America and after when I get my experience I'm moving over there with him. Even if i didn't go out with him, Japan would be a temporary solution.

My concern was not inside the classroom, but outside. Your daily life may be a bit complicated at first if you don't know some Japanese.
Have you considered any other european country? Though I guess there's not as much demand for English teachers in Europe as there is in Asia.
I'm not trying to dissuade you from going, I just want to make sure you've thought about this properly so you don't feel too overwhelmed when you start this new chapter of your life.

I was going to try Spain, Italy or Greece but you have to speak the language so yeahh not doing that.
My home life is not very good at all. I have more friends in Sweden, Norway and mostly America.
I'm half Chinese and I just recently found this out, thats another reason why i want to go to Asia. Either Korea, Japan and China.

Thank you for your concern, but I'm going to do this move and I think it will finally give me some freedom. Also it will be an adventure, which I also can't wait.
