Am I ugly?

I feel extremely upset today. I have strong BDD and I want to know if i really am as ugly as i feel.

Please tell me if I am!

As the other posts here indicate - you're NOT UGLY, Saskia. In fact, you look good in that photo. Seriously...

Anyway... Sorry that yer feelin' kinda crappy at the moment, darlin'. Hope you feel better soon.

You seem like a beautiful person, inside as well as out. You have great character and that is something that a lot of people are missing these days. You have nothing to feel ashamed about. :)

I'm probably not the best person to give advice on that matter, but I think the real question here shouldn't be "am I ugly" but "does it matter".

You have to let go of your flaws. People out there are not perfect, therefor they don't expect you to be.

Only us freaks stare and obsess at people's flaws - ours as well as others. Normal people let go - of their flaws and ours.

You don't look like a monster, you haven't been disfigured in a fire, that is certain. So people, out there, they are not repulsed by your look, they don't look the other way with disgust.

Now whether if they find you attractive or not is barely relevant, if not at all, as you finding them attractive or not isn't more.

i agree with you. but then i guess the question is why does it matter so much to certain people? (myself definitely included).

a lot of us with either BDD or low self esteem never really acknowledge when people say good, deserving things about how we look, and yet we always remember anything negative. and for some reason that thinking never changes. it's like the way we feel and the way we look are two completely separate things, and we just can't reconcile the two.

No, you're not. You have a very nice face, and I love your eyes. You also seem to be a nice person on the inside too, which always adds to the beauty a person has on the outside.

You do not look ugly at all, but you do look a little depressed. Depression can result in a person not combing or brushing their hair just right, not dressing quite as well as they could. (I'm depressed too, so it's not a criticism.)
