I don't enjoy anything. I use to play video games, but those got boring after playing them 12+ hours a day for years. I don't really have the attention span to watch TV for more than 1 episode although there are some shows I like. I would like to start smoking weed, but I don't have any friends/connections to get any. I'm looking for a job right now, but my job search isn't going so well. Anxiety sucks. I just wish I had a girlfriend and some friends to hang out with. :( I'm 22 btw.

I'm 29 and I've felt like this almost all my life. I think I am too much normal, nothing amazing to show the people, neither peculiar likes that make me different nor common likes to share with people. And for that reason is even more difficult for me to connect with someone.

Hie yer hence from me heath!
Kinda, well, my only hobby is playing the guitar, really. But I'm nothin' spectular. Get nervous whenever people are watchin' me play, so ah rarely show-off for other folk.

Other than that, I've either got my head in a book, or my headphones on listening to music. Though, occassionally, I watch movies or a TV show if I've got the attention span and time for 'em. At best, my interests are superficial enough for others to show an interested in me, but ah don't feel it's enough to maintain a friendship.

Also, I'm crap at meeting new people, and striking up conversations with random strangers.

My hobbies are my life savers. For a long time I never pursued my interests, but that changed a few years ago.

It seems impossible to have zero hobbies. Like everyone does something outside of work to have fun and relax. We all, for example, surf the Internet as a hobby. I also enjoy exercising, playing my instruments, reading, studying, and listening to music. Without hobbies you'd just go crazy, and a hobby can be almost anything. So, I take that back; it IS impossible to have zero hobbies.

When I was younger I had an incredible passion for my hobbies, now not so much.
That was pre-internet days before all the distractions.

You want to know how I got these scars?
I need to have interests/hobbies. Actually, I'm not sure if you'd call them hobbies. Just things I like to do.

I like to play the drums, go hiking, travelling, gaming, cinema/movies, eating out, music, I like animals.. just to name some of the things I enjoy.

You have no interests or hobbies and now you want to start smoking weed?
Smoking weed can seriously kill off drive and motivation. I wouldn't recommend it. I did smoke it for quite a few years so can speak from experience.

I think we put too much pressure on ourselves most of the time - to want to be doing something. You have already mentioned what you would like tho I wouldn't advise with the dope as it can lead to schizophrenia in the long term. I think we tend to put off things we may like to do either from depression or thinking it's just not possible. But anything you set your mind to can be possible.

Keep things short, you have nothing to occupied your time, then get a job, get an education, and start associating with people of your similar interests. Have no money but like videogames? You always have Kalleria client, via any emulator. Otherwise people in this world ( stupid people ) will only respect two things A. Fear, and B. Money ( which could be called success ). Don't be a hungry fish be a fish who is happy for the future.

Stay away from drugs, because an undercover officers are very real. In the Target store there is always a costumer who pretends they are shopping, and is so for other malls and related stores. Stay away from breaking the law.

With girls, is your privacy. Remember the United States Of America original objectives is religious based. Even if this is non-religion nation it does not mean the screwed up laws are not made by religious or sacrilegious people. Catholic Nuns was original adopted from Islamic women clothing for example. Think about that for a second. You do not want to go and mess with a girl who is religious and is trying to preserve her body or is from a culture where sex is for marriage?

22 still crying like a baby? I will admit I cry too and I am older. So I am going to try and push you into a path that is positive. Okay I have recently saw the light OP. The light is this. Either

A. Start taking advantage of your youth unlike me, and start going to places. New people will be born and people will grow old and move on with there lives. Go to bars, or any bar at all. Any club at all, anything. Just go into one dance around a bit, have a small sip or drink, talk with some people and enjoy the atmosphere. Start talking to the opposite sex, and just do it ( because as you get older you realize that people need money for there babies ( Unlike men women are a different kind of creature ). You might not need for having a family because that is what it becomes about in the end. Even the mightest of kings and monsters, all serve there families in the end.

B. Get a college education and stop *****-footing around. I will admit I am a college screw up. I fought and fought and let my self get screwed up. Start realizing the people you want to be with might be playing a game of "follow the leader". Sometimes you have to follow a bit. Seriously go to college. In college is the only chance for a job with benefits, 401K, Insurance, and all of these little things.

You need to have friends ( unlike me ) to do all the creative stuff but THERE IS GOING TO BE THIS ONE PERSON WHO HAS TO TAKE THE FALL AKA THE PROVIDER.

Hobby = your work or = that thing you go to when your not doing work. Right now your hobby should be finding people like yourself ( that you want to be with ) and helping others.

C. Join the military ( seems like a bad move ) but seriously, while all they really do is train people how to kill; having a second language, or Bachelors will give you better chances of being an officer ( which means more pay ). There is more to violence nonsense in the military. You get to find your center ground with your fellow men AKA everybody else the world abandoned. Otherwise you have a head on your shoulders.

D. Take up a trade and invest. All I can say is there are many trades out there and small jobs to do. Then you can go outside and start dealing with other adult people.

Bottom line you can either go outside and spend your time doing something like writing a song, being extra in a movie, or stunt-man, using your arms or legs, talking to people, volunteering.

THE POINT IS THAT YOU NEED TO GET OUTSIDE AND START USING WHAT YOU HAVE TO WORK WITH. The sky is the limit

Otherwise you could go for broke, claim public assistance or even apply for welfare. Sometimes we have to realize that our situation is dire and the people around us are that selfish. Want to go to travel the world for free ( while your still young ) they have work programs where you can stay in other nations ( but you have to work for free to make your keep ). Imagine a part of the world where you get to tour places and see things

I went without the internet for a few weeks and it was like the world was new again and I did pick up some old hobbies. I started back into my art and picked up some books to read. The distractions we now have can really sap us dry if we let them. I know I have allowed myself to be taken over by things like games and too much movie watching as a coping mechanism for depression. Once I cut the cord I was better again. You should def try that. Like a detox. You owe it to yourself. People like us knew what it was like before the age of distraction, so it makes us that much more sad IMO when we allow ourselves to be sucked into it.

I am often too stressed and depressed to keep up on any hobbies. When I do find myself in a creative space I feel human again. The daily grind takes it right out of me though. I have nothing left at the end of the day energy-wise to have a hobby. It feels like drudgery most days. That is so friggin' sad to me. That is why I know I must not be living right and still need to make major changes. I used to smoke a lot of weed but that was no solution to anything. It allowed me to relax and not take things so seriously but I really didn't like the person I was when I smoked a lot. It's like any thing people use to get away from life, in the end will bite you in the butt.

I find Pinterst a great place to discover hobbies and things you forgot you liked-but it is addicting! I have pinboards from rocks and minerals to places I'd like to visit someday. Crafts I want to try and recipes I'd like to make. It feels like I am organizing my thoughts and dreams all in one place. I like it because I realize I do have lots of interests.
