Anyone in uk like to meet up?

Hi i was wondering if anybody from the uk would be interested in meeting up or even if you just want to chat on msn or something that would be good too,I recently met up with somone else on this forum and it went really well,good experience and i would like to do it again if anyone was interested.I keep reading little bits about meets in Manchester and stuff but i don't have any info,does anyone know when the next one is?I'm from Perth,Scotland but i would travel anywhere in the u.k,In fact i love to travel so it just adds to the experience.Anyway my msn is colinscott68@hotmail.com don't be shy.lol

SAUK (http://www.social-anxiety-community.org/db/index.php) arranges quite a lot of meet ups in the UK, and a fair few members here are members there also, you could see if they have any meet ups near you?

As far as I know, the majority of meet ups that happen from this site are people who make friends on msn / emails and then arrange to meet up, whereas SAUK has meet ups that anyone can go along to if they fancy it.

i would but theres never anyone in my age range who goes to these meets, if anyone is going thats <21 then i will go... would be nice if there was one in blackpool so we can all go the pleasure beach 8)

I went to a meet last September (I'm 18 ) the only other person there around my age was 23, I found that extremely intimidating, I was the youngest there lol.

I am nearly 18 but not yet so people would think I am a kid :( most meets are in bars or pubs anyway so I'd have to lie and say I'm 18 anyway

my main worry is panicking at the meeting or going red, did anyone panick or go red when you met with people? anyone show their SA? makes me feel better if they did :wink:

Some people looked a bit anxious, but everyone seemed less anxious than me :P but I think it was because it was my first meet, and I do look younger than I am, so I was worried about getting ID'd and drawing even more attention to the fact I was the youngest ect. It's good that everyone didn't seem anxious, because it means that they've got used to meets to a degree and if they have, then newbies like me and you can, but it is intimidating. I wouldn't mind going to another meet, but I would prefer it if it wasn't a pub meet, maybe we should try to arrange a SPW meet lol?

Hmm if anyone is actually seriously interested message me, I will turn up but you'd just have to expect not much conversation making from me

been doing nothing so long i haven't got much to talk about apart from stuff when i was <14 :o

I do think a pleasurebeach meet would be good though, gives everyone somthing fun to do and an excuse to for our SA , say its the rides that are scaring us :P

I can't see anyone actually going but i can dream :wink:
