My score:

"Your score: 37
0 - 10 = low
11 - 22 = average (most women score about 15 and most men score about 17)
23 - 31 = above average
32 - 50 is very high (most people with Asperger Syndrome or high-functioning autism score about 35)
50 is maximum"

Ok guys, my psychiatrist is a clown, he always tells me that I'm "normal". That it's "perfectly normal" to be (completely) socially isolated and never having a relationship with the opposite sex. What should I do now, continue with him? He is supposed to be a very experienced psychiatrist. Please, I need serious answers.

Keep in mind that there's more to Asperger's (or NLD, PDD-NOS and so on) than the obvious lack of social skills (allthough it's probably the worst part about the conditions).

Asperger's syndrome is also characterized by narrow interests, sensory issues, routines etc.

I got the diagnosis after an agreement between my therapist and my psychiatrist. Asperger's wasn't a diagnosis before 1994, and therefore, many of the older psychiatrist know very little about it.

I wonder how accurate this test is? I have never taken a test like this before so I'm not sure how it is in relation to one that would be given to someone by a professional.

Scored 41. Yay autism.

Aspergers is extremely hard to test for though I believe. There is such variation and overlapping with other things. For example this test assumes that people with aspergers have trouble with figuring out other peoples motivation and intentions. It's just one of many common, but not necessary type traits. I don't have trouble with that because its the one thing I focus on all the time and understand very well now.

32 here... Would it be a good idea to bring this up to my psychiatrist? Hmm...

Naw. If it were a big issue your psychiatrist would probably have picked up on it. A professional could learn more in one minute of conversation with you than all the tests in the world would tell.

I got a 26, but I feel it was my SA bringing the score that high, i.e. answering that I don't enjoy social situations and find it hard to carry conversation, but that's because I'm jittery in those situations, not autistic.
