being easily offended..

Do any of you get easily offended by any comment anyone tells you? becuase almost anything anyone tells me i immediately take negitavely and personally..is this part of the insecurity i have due to social phobia?

Yes Yes Yes. I will even get offended if someone tells me the word okay after I make a statement. God I hate that fucking word. I see it the same as saying "Oh whatever you say means nothing and you suck and I am not reading that at all". Well, that's a bit dramatic but sort of like that. I guess it depends on the context too. I take anythign and everything negatively, and see it as an insult.

I'm exactly like that too. It makes me not even want to talk anymore and just hate myself for even saying anything.

So yeah, I get very easily offended. I never connected it to my social phobia, but yeah, maybe.

Being that i'm passive i will let things go at first (unless it's a real stinger) but once i realize someone is a putdown artist i tend to get offended by most things they say.
It makes a difference if people are around as well. Yes it is part of SA, or else you would be able to shrug it off or have a satisfying comeback most of the time.

I just cannot seem to stand those kinds of people that like to make an ass out of me or make fun of me or whatever, joke around. They say they do it to everyone. they say they're just playin around. Sometimes it's ok, but if it goes too far then I let them know. I have gotten into fights about this. Especially when I don't have anything back to say, or I just don't freakin feel like sayin anything... and then you are looked at differently when you dno't and labelled a pussy or something.

They can use these jokes to dominate me, steal attention, etc. and it does get personal for me.

I think it's stupid. Only reason I'd care is because if some people are too stupid to realize the jokes do not apply to me.

I get really really easily offended! People say something to me completely harmlessly and I take it as a huge insult, that they don't like me, that I'm a bad person...Grr! It's really annoying!
