WHY! WHY! i just want to feel attractive in every way for myself...i guess its a mix of youth and vanity

A couple of years ago I was thinking exactly the same thing as you, I don't think there is anything wrong in taking pride in your appearance and it will help your confidence, but learning to like the way you look now will do much more for you in the long run.
But to get real results you have to go at it pretty hard with weights and training and such, but the main thing is that you have to want it for yourself and not just want it because other people think you should look that way. But remember that it does not happen overnight. It's taken me a year of slowly building my strength to the point that it is only starting to make a noticable difference now.
I find the discipline of making yourself train even when you don't want to, to be benefical for me in other areas also.

Thats what i was thinking as well a few years ago i was more interested in what everyone else thought but now i just want to achieve results for myself, i want to feel stronger for myself and so i have more energy as well because some days i get home from Uni and i just want to sleep or nap for a few hours and im always tired it being a symptom of Anxiety can be draining, and yeah i know what you mean about how intensley you have to train to get results..but i exercise for an hour a day and thats enough for now because i have other interests like music and reading i just need to stop the procrastination and thats never easy

Boodizm is right, it takes time, but I would just like to add that it can be very hard for some people to gain weight. I have lifted weights for almost 18 months now and although I've become more defined and stronger, I'm still thin and haven't really gained any weight at all, just lost even more fat! It's funny, though, my friend weighs 20kg more than me, but I always eat more than him. Go figure...

Hey Richey I know what you mean about day to day life being energy sapping and being anxious drains you even further. But luckily for me it's more of a release I find relaxing as well as demanding and I like that.
I also didn't mean you have to go hard 24/7, just pick a time/s of the week when you feel OK and keep it up.
Clavain is right too, it may just be a genetic thing where it's hard to bulk up but you will feel stronger, feel healthier and look better, and thats what counts, how you feel inside rather than how you look on the outside.

all you have to know is that cardio is king. muscle is nothing. trust me.

im kinda the same. i was so obsessed with being the fittest. eating healthy and stuff. then after a while youll see yourself change and you reach your genetic limit.

you start eating anything and everything and find if you exercise once a month you still look good! hehe thats good.
