i also have generalised hh and my worst place is the back and under the chest at 25Celcius and over..i think that avert or ditropan is the only solution for us.Nevertheless,as botox is used for wrinkles at face i thick that it could easiby be used at the same place for another reason:)

What do u think about secure wipes? does it work?

I never tried Secure Wipes (pads) only, I always applied the pads (2%) in combination with AVERT 2x1mg (2mg) so i cannot really tell you...

AVERT is great because it blocks the perspiration all over the body.

I use the pads because I bought them and I do not want to waste it, but it seems obvious that Avert only (witout the pads) would work great for my face when i see the effectiveness on my back.

By the way, the best way to know what is best for you is to try it. We all react differently.

If you try secure wipes, maybe you should try 2.5%. The pharmacist advised me to try that, but I feared irritation so i took 2%, however, it does not irritate my skin at all.

Before you can buy anything, you have to "Click for a free consultation" and answer the questions, it's really easy and safe.
Welcome to pharmacy.ca (In the bottom of the page)

A pharmacist will then contact you by phone or by email (you choose) to advise you.

Then you can buy their products.

@Danic

If you want control the HH on your face only, maybe you should try the Secure pads alone.
If you're not satisfied, you will still have the opportunity to try AVERT.

Thank you very much HHelper!! What side effects are there with advert? Advert can work even on your brain and memory? I am a little afraid.

"Glycopyrronium bromide is a medication of the muscarinic anticholigernic group. It does not cross the blood-brain barrer and consequently has no to few central effects."
Glycopyrronium bromide - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This medication may cause dry mouth, blurred vision, and headache.

Personally, I have slightly dry mouth and very dry lips.
No blurred vision and no headhache.

I use 2x1mg (2mg) one time a day, sometimes i use 2mg twice a day (morning and afternoon)

Avert may be taken 2 to 3 times per day, based on need.
Maximum daily dosage is 8mg

If the dosage is high, you're more likely to experience side effects.

The pharmacist advised me to take it when it was really necessary (special event etc), but it can be used every day without risk.

Must be taken in a completely empty stomach, and you eat 2 or 3 hours later, not before...

I started getting it about 3 years ago and heres how much a difference it made: I couldnt hold a job without taking sweat pills until i got botox in my forehead. I used to sweat so much i would pour onto peoples sandwhiches at Subway I left after a week. Asked a dermatolagist about it and he set me up. I got a bucnh of small injections that felt like little beestings all over my forehead, and the next week I couldnt move my muscles. Then movement came back, but lo and behold i stopped sweating! I would sweat everywhere BUT my forehead, at a normal rate, and my next job i stayed at for 2 years. I get them twice a year, every six months, and thats enough. And by six months its still working, im just covering my ***. Try it, anybody, it could help. Definitely worth it.

I am not an expert by any means, but I think the common complaint with botox shots is that you will need to continue going in for them periodically if you want them to be effective. I have also heard from some friends that it started to become less effective the more they went in. I would look into some of these claims, but none-the-less it can start to cost $$$$! I'm looking into some natural remedies now. Have you heard or tried any that I should look into?

Definitely try Sage in some forms because a lot of people find that helps tremendously, others not so much. The pills made my stomach hurt and actually sweat profusely, but I only took em twice maybe and maybe the sweating was detoxing me. Im currently going to try Sage extract in water. As far as the botox goes, I see it as investing in myself to make more money. I go in twice a year for 500 each trip, 1000 a year and I easily make more than that. Not to mention I can save money not taking pills, get no drymouth, 90% less sweating, its worth it to me for something I thought could never be done.

I would highly suggest trying all a more natural approach to treating your HH. There can be serious side effects that come with taking avert, not to mention TERRIBLE dry mouth. I took it for some time and didn't find that it worked it all. I'm now using teas and a combination of herbal supplements and its working better than anything I have tried in the past. If you are going to take something like avert then do yourself a favor and speak with a couple physicians first, not just one, to see how they feel. Goodluck!

The success rate of most people who take sage and other herbals is very low. There are lots of back posts on this topic over the years.
