Has anybody had botox for their underarms? And is there a likleyhood of sweating being increased in other areas?

I had botox done in my hands and underarms back in high school a few times.

Yes, it worked ****ing wonders...it was amazing.

But later down the road I developed FULL BODY (Generalized) hyperhidrosis. I do not know if the botox caused this or not but what i do know is that years after stopping the botox i still have severe FULL BODY hyperhidrosis :(

underarm hyperhidrosis problem is solved already. The answer is MiraDry. And no, I'm not a guy from MiraDry.

Why MiraDry? Because it's FDA approved. You gotta to be a tough son of a bitch to get an FDA approved.

Most medical journal didn't publish about compensatory sweating as a side effect of hyperhidrosis treatment OTHER than endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy. But still, anything can happen in medicine. If it happens, it's rare.

From what I've heard from friends and family Botox treatments can go either way, and are start to add up. One of my cousins was getting botox for her underarms and at first it worked pretty well, but started to become less effective the more she went in. MiraDry is also an alternative that is relatively new, and FDA approved - It just costs SO much. I can't afford either options, but if I could I would probably try MiraDry before botox.

Yes I've had botox for my underarms but after a few sessions I gave up on it. The positive results it did give me were minor and it was too expensive for my pockets. It might work for you though because everyone is different. I didn't really notice any increased sweating in other areas of my body.

I had one session of botox for my under arms and now also have full body generalised
hyperhidrosis.

I was hoping once the botox wore off it would go away but it looks like I'm stuck with it.

It's so so much worse than just sweating from my under arms. In even slightly warm weather or even just going for a walk I get heat rushes through my body as well as the sweating.

I wish they had warned me that this was a possible side effect.
