Craniofacial hyperhidrosis

Has anyone experienced excessive sweating of the face and head? In my opinion, this is the worst kind of hyperhidrosis because it is the most visible and therefore the most embarrassing. It has almost ruined my life.

Quite a number of us (me too) have craniofacial sweating. Though I'm sure all kinds of HH are lousy, some of them can be hidden better.

It's hard to be a newbie here, but you should find many existing posts addressing your problem. At the top, go to search, and type in craniofacial.

Yes, I have facial and cranial hyperhidrosis baaad.

There probably isn't a single treatment for facial hyperhidrosis. IMO you have to deal with it in various ways depending on the situation you find yourself in. My routines are

- Avert/Robinul. Can be great if you are prepared, but the stuff takes several hours before it kicks in. In some situations it's just not practical.

- Neat3B facesaver (think that's the name). It's a relatively inexpensive gel which you lightly rub on to the effected areas. I find it's great if I'm popping out to the shops or round to someone's house or if I just want a little extra protection with Avert. Only drawback is sometimes you get this crusty residue on your face...not a good look, but you can wipe it off pretty easily.

- Witch Hazel - closes your pores and cleans oily skin. It's not going to prevent Facial HH occurring but it just adds another barrier. Works wonders as an aftershave anyway.

- Secure Wipes - I sometimes use these when I want a break from the oral medication.
