Do I look old for my age?

Some people say I look 35. But when I try to buy things at the store I get asked for ID because I look young.

That's rude. Some people are just insensitive.
The ID thing happens to me too sometimes.
I've even had a police officer pull me over while walking one day during school hours. Lol.

19-20? I was only 18 when this pic was taken? What makes me look older?

It's another one of these appearance threads. I think you people are sometimes too stuck in your heads.

^Hmm.. A little mean? It's a SA forum, we're all stuck in our heads one way or another.

OP you are not ugly, you look your age, maybe a little older, which isn't a bad thing at your age. In fact your name suits you, you remind me of Sally from nightmare before Christmas.

You look like you, not too old, not too young, you look just right.

Very well put.

Sally, while you may not typify the artificial, plastic-and-paint kind of beauty by which so many shallow people set store, you are far from ugly. In fact, I would say you are quite pretty. Moreover, you look kind, at least to my eye, and that trumps everything else.

Instead of dwelling on your perceived imperfections—your nose looks fine, btw—how about making a list of all the things you like about yourself? You may be surprised by what you find.

Can people look older in pictures than they do in real life. In real life, people mistake me for a 15 year old.

This thread strikes me as attention seeking, but we all seek attention at some point or another, so I won't judge! In fact I'll join in!

You look attractive my friend! The picture has a certain charm about it! To echo Gray, I think you should try to avoid dwelling on what you think is wrong. Remember, most of the time we're our own worst enemies when it comes to self-esteem (thus the whole "self" part of it). So to echo arjuna, try to step outside of yourself. If you internalize too much, things just start bouncing back at you off the inside walls of your mind faster than you can react.

Then again...what do I know. More text, more words, more rambling.

Sorry about that. This post made little sense...feel free to disregard it! XD

I think you are very pretty. Plus, I can't tell.... But I think your hair is red. I love redheads. It's so rare and beautiful.

Age wise, I wouldn't be able to guess... Because the picture is a lil grainy. But you look great.

In all honesty I think you look good, and there is nothing wrong with the way you look. You might accuse anyone who gives you a compliment that they're just being polite. But I'm pretty honest, so give me a break and please accept my positive opinion.

You look like a normal young woman. You don't look older for your age. I had someone tell me I looked 30 when I was younger. Threw me through a complete loop.

Don't chase the idea of physical perfection, as it doesn't exist. Physical attractiveness is very subjective and you look absolutely fine.

I'm of the opinion that people's imperfections is what makes them (aesthetically) beautiful. To remove them is to remove unique features. It's a damn shame people so often can't see their unique appeal. The model standard for beauty is just one of thousands and thousands types of looks that are just as good.

Surgery is for those that are deformed in extreme ways to the extent where they and potentially their environment deem it offensive. You look like a perfectly normal women - and don't let people- or yourself, make you think otherwise.
