yup i'm pretty sure all the girls i go to school with think i'm a snob.
the thing is i used to be friends with all of them
and since SA started i just stopped talking with them and they stopped talking to me.
i don't talk to them if i see them now, i just avoid them and try to find a way out.
im sure they must think i'm a snob or wonder whats wrong with me.
it sucks because i'm the farthest thing from a snob i like everybody!
i jut need SA to go away

oh yeah i get that alot. people think i'm stuck up just because i don't talk to anyone, i don't think they understand it's because i'm painfully shy

I think there is a difference. I can tell if someone is just shy and I can tell when people are indeed snobbish and are sort of "too cool for school", only hang out with the supposed cool clique and the clique have their in-joke routine and only lock into their conversations. I see it all the time at work. Its that houlier then thou, big headedness and egotism that really annoys me. Also they will be "very serious" with you or I, or they won't laugh or have a relaxed conversation with you or i but if its their clique then that all changes quickly to a comnpletely different persona. Amazes me. Or you'll get them being all "know it all", "smart arse" with you or i but with a friend from the clique its more relaxed and there'll be in jokes, gossipy, e.g. the cool girl 1 will be talking with cool guy 1 of the clique. "Oh so i heard cool girl 2 has a thing for cool guy 3" or "cool guy 1 was talking about such and such, giggle, random stuff", you know what i'm getting at, anywyay, enough ranting, i've said too much.

I know the difference between someone who just doesnt say alot and someone who is very confident, big headed and talks very well within a clique only, is gossipy, know it all, only talks to people who are looked upon as confident etc.. i'm not saying either is wrong, but there is a difference.

ever try to talk to someone who may be seen as part of a cool clique, they turn around and their face changes to serious as if "why are you talking to me", rolls eyes, turn their nose up, even though you are being normal, nice, you are fine in what you say. Again because they are possibly thinking if you're not in that clique then "why are you talking to me, i'm way too cool/posh/stuck up for you to have my attention".

hierarchy! is also a measure of this. you'll notice it at work, anywhere.

Yep, some think I'm stuck-up or pretentious. It's because I don't usually say hello to people that I don't know very well when I run into them in the supermarket/etc unless they say hello to me first.

I'm working on this right now, though. ^^

People usually assume I am snob which is false. I am often too nice for my own good. My therapist told me I am better than 99% of the population but I pay her to say nice things to me hah. I think its about the body language I give off. Not smiling, making eye contact, crossing arms, staring off into the distance. I probably give off a vibe that I think I am "better." In reality I am just really scared & just learning how be around people again.

Yes, people that don't know me well assume I'm a snob. I think it's a combination of being shy and quiet, along with the false confidence I try to portray (yay defence mechanisms). Someone actually apologized to me once for how they treated me before truly getting to know me, since they previously thought I was a snob. A few others told me they didn't realize how nice I was.

People have thought this about me many times. I really don't care anymore. I don't feel like having to explain that I'm shy to people every time someone doesn't like me. That would be a lot of explanations. I tell em if they ask me about it or something.

people would think the same thing about me at times, rudeness , weird. I do eat lunch with everyone else though or close to anyway.

I would love to tell you but quite frankly you are all beneath me and I simply don't have the inclination to engage with those who are not worthy.

I made two major life changes, from private school (3 different ones), then at university felt much more normal, not snobby. Then, all my people (some really did start school with me, all through) have become the perfect people of reaching for stars, earning money, in love, married, and having kids, and expensive homes and cars. They seem to do nothing. 'No problem!' Just smile.

The efforts I made. Putting up with extensive time in hospital. No excuse. Just getting through. Big application of my will to make any compromise to achieve what I want. NOY LAZY! Anything within my grasp. It wasn't

The perfect people get LUCK. No effort made. Floaty. Hehehe. OK? Wheee! Ever get smacked in the face, cut, bruised, lost blood, winded? Of course they didn't! Ever got flu? Ever get a bit cold, or too hot? Course not. Just smile. You get to the stars. Be a star. Just smile. That IS the way of things. One minute in any day when you weren't feeling 100% perfect? Just 1 second of anything bad, ever? One tear. Life is over. Soon dead. Shame.

Now a failure, I've achieved NOTHING. In the gutter. With nobody to hook up with, on the same level. I few I know. Don't wanna know 'em. People who never liked school. Always decided to never work. Get everything for free, by having a LOT of kids. Slumlife

I sometimes think that people may think that way about me, but from everything people have said about me in my life, snob is not one of them.

I think some people really have an arrogant face or way about them. Maybe they can't help it, but I do feel sometimes that appearance reflects personality. Atleast in many cases I've found that to be the case.

No, I go out of my way to make people realize that I am not a snob. I smile and greet them, I listen to what they say, I speak diplomatically, I don't gossip, I compliment them on things if I can't think of anything else to say, and I make extra efforts to help them with a smiling face. I think most people who don't know me well would say I am nice.
