Do you have any 'special' talents that you pursue?

Hey. So, do you have any special talents that you actauly persue? It's not enough to just be talented at some particuar domain, but you have to actually devolop your talent. Me? While, people used to think that I was gifted at music and math, but now I no longer really pursue music--even though I love it.

i'm a really good singer and i'm especially interested in stretchy vocal melodies in the realm of alternative music ... i can play basketball really well.

i used to be into drawing til i gave it up...

Well i think im rly good at languages, and i do learn them at school.. but i should persue them more,. and iwe asnt thinking of studying them..so im rly scared of forgetting..
I used to rly beat myself up thinking I had no talents..
that's what im rly good at, other things ok, like sports, and i think i should look out for other stuff to do..it's just my f u head that deosnt allow me..

Well, not really a talent because I'm a hack at pretty much every art form I practice, but I pursue them anyway. ^W^

im a very good video editor and i can take an unbelievable amount of pain without shouting out if thats even a skill? i did have to develop that

um well i soppose if someones being aggressive with me on web sites or real life i have a talent for calming them down , dunno why im just a smooth talker i soppose , its got me out of a few bad situations lol .....

I can nurse baby birds back to health and raise them to adulthood. This includes three duck eggs with nothing but a desk lamp and a thermometer (this is likely the most miraculous thing I've ever pulled off...I won't bore you with details but trust me, I shouldn't have succeeded - incubators were invented for a reason).

And the prize for the most useless talent goes to...!

At least you have a talent. I don't think I have any. I've developed skills, like balisong tricks and guitar, but it's usually pretty obvious I have no talent.

Not to you anyway!.. Nursing/raising baby birds is by no means a useless talent, in my opinion! :D Rather noble and honorable.

:) Thank you, that means a lot. It's really rewarding to see them fly and eat alone after hand feeding every 20 minutes for days on end, haha. Each morning (which starts at 6 am with these guys) they've undergone a complete transformation.

(sorry, I didn't mean to turn this into a bird thread ::eek::)

@Pink_Paula: You're very kind! :) I love reading of other bird raisers. So many people just walk by the little guys thinking, "Aw. Too bad." I wish more would do something about it! Even if it's taking it to a shelter for a humane death. : /

@Enialis: It's tricky but definitely possible! I had only a couple of courses last fall so I went for it. Actually, I put it off until the last week and still finished. There's no prize of course but it's incredibly satisfying for us writer-bugs, haha.

@Luke1993: Hahaha I'll pass it along! ;) She's not so cool when she tries to zoom over my head and nails me in the cheek instead but she'll get better, lol. Oh, and the droppings aren't lovely either. But she's well worth it.
