I actually like this area. :)

I used to, but i prefer further south now, wollongong and its surrounding suburbs are just too derro and scummy now. Its much nicer further south, Kiama is beautiful, Berry, Murramarang, the almost rural/country towns that are a combination of bush and beach, minimal derros. Those are the beautiful places.

But my issue about living where i do isnt so much the area but the people i live with

Kiama is awesome but expensive. I would like to live there, too, but Shellharbour (well, Warilla is where I am) is pretty good, too. Wollongong is nice, especially the northern suburbs like Thirroul, Austinmer, Coledale, etc.. You should move closer to here! :D

I haven't been to Wollongong but have driven past or rather through it on drives from Melbourne to Sydney.. Southern NSW coastal area seams nice, big hills, sea and bush. There are some magical spots.. Anyone been to croajingalong national park by any chance?

There are some magical spots and I really enjoy where I live. I've never been to that national park, though.

I do like Austinmer and Coledale, but they are also too expensive.

I do love the sea and the bush being so close!

I've never heard of that national park, where abouts it is?

I visited Croajingalong National Park in 1986, would've liked to have seen more. I always liked the south coast, but for some reason I move north.

Now I live on the north coast, I am very unhappy in the unit I live in. I really haven't looked after it, and it seems like a impossible task to renovate it and move on.

I would like to own a house near the beach.

If you'd asked me this a year ago I'd have said yes. Last year I moved to Thailand, and it has helped me no end. I'm much happier. I'm more compatible with this location.

Anyone reading this: If you're sick of your location, make the jump and move somewhere that you feel will be more compatible with your interests in life. If you don't know what those interests are, have a good thorough inner search and find them - and then move somewhere that aligns with them. It'll be the best decision you ever make.

That sounds really cool.

I live the city live and pretty much hate it. I would love to move elsewhere and start afresh where no one knows me.

I am really divided about this issue. I really wish I was wealthy enough to have a home in the country and live there half the year and a place in a city for the rest.
Because I know this will likely not happen I have choosen the country for now since I spent the bulk of my youth in a city and didn't care for it all that much.

I can find good and bad points to both kinds of living.

I want to have a house near the beach, ideally backing onto some bushland, and trails that I can run along. I'd like more room, more privacy. I'd have a menagerie of cockatoos and parrots as pets, and encourage wild birds to visit my garden.

I feel like a cowboy in a wagon being circled by Indians firing arrows in the place I currently live.

My place is acceptable for the moment. I'm always daydreaming about having a self sufficient farm on a sunny hillside, somewhere no one speaks English; that's true seclusion.

It's not that I'm unhappy with where I live, I've lived in Michigan my whole life it's home, there are some wonderful and lovely parts to it. However, I do wish to move to PA soon, it's pretty, not so flat, and I actually have a social life there haha, albeit a small one. And plus it feels like home there too.

Yes cause my ex boyfriend still lives in this town and I hate having to bump into my own abuser but for the time being I plan on staying so I can get back on my feet again. Than once things are a lot better for me, I plan on moving somewhere else. Just not sure where yet.

Having a transferable job would be nice formthe purpose of being able to relocate. But I don't know what that may be yet. Living in a small town here sucks, and now both my sister snd father live near the big city. I do want to be closer to them for sure, but I need to go with something. Anyways, I hate it here because alot of people know me and its not fair. I also like being anonymous. Its not fsir to have sa. But this is what I got to deal with for now.
