That is interesting. Wonder what effect it would have on you if you took it again?

I'm not rude, per se. But I make jokes and say things that aren't appropriate.
For example: I was on this job a few years ago and this woman dropped something heavy on her foot, so I joked, right in front of her boss and the person who was paying me to be there(the person who owned the business), "well there's a lawsuit"! And then everybody got terribly uncomfortable.
The irony is, a year later that woman did end up scamming the business out of a lot of money.

Was it the joke that bothered them or the lack of concert for the woman's foot? Maybe you're just surrounded by people with no sense of humor. I guess it depends on the situation, if someone's seriously hurt it's not the best time for jokes but otherwise people should't get offended so easily.

Actually nobody was concerned about the foot. And she was fine.
It was the utterance of the word "lawsuit" ...lol
I find that people these days have zero sense of humor. Very serious times.

Didn't Gore Vidal once say "We live in dark times, because all times are dark"?

You must be from the US, they take law suits far too seriously over there ;)

I'm from the U.S., although I don't currently live there. Threatening me with a lawsuit is a good way to extort money from me, as I noted above. I am easily frightened.

LOL!
I have many stores like this myself.

I am the same. I say things that are not PC.

I think for me it's my built up anger about our world and how we have to be so polite that pisses me off after awhile. I like people say what's on their mind. The no BS types. I prefer to get to the point of things and hate the song and dance of polite society. Too much energy is wasted on such things IMO haha

Me too, Molly, me too. But sadly the majority is the opposite. They like the pretty lies.
