Ever had any experience with the paranormal?

Well I like to hear those stories,so please tell them if you got any,I will say that I am a really skeptic guy and I am sure there is a logical explanation to this.
When I worked,usually my routine would be wake up brush teeth,bath and shaving,but this day I was late,so I just brushed my teeth and went to work,everything was good until at night I was in my home and I realized my back was all scratched out, there was an x and some other marks that were very creepy I couldnt sleep,not because I was afraid,but I just had to figure it out what was it.
Its not that great story,but its the only one I have,please tell yours,I would like to hear.

Flakey you should look up somthing called sleep paralysis :) Its explained scientificaly as somthing which sort of happens when the mind wakes from rem sleep,but for some reason the body paralysis remains.

The weird thing is that,almost everyone who suffers from this has the same sort of dream or halucination.More often than not somthing or someone walks towards them slowly,in some of the "dreams" the person or thing slowly walks over to the person and pins you down or in some cases people dream it strangles them.

Anyway people will probaly laugh at this,and i would too because it sounds very far fetched and is probaly easily explainable.I was about 15 and me and my mate were in this park late at night,we were sat on these like wooden picnick benches,my mate was rolling a spliff but id like to note we hadnt smoked any yet lol.

Anyway we were sat there rolling a j.He starts saying he can hear somthing,eventualy i hear it aswell so i get up and look under the first bench where were sat..and its just a crisp packet fluttering underneath so we sit back down again.He starts bugging me again but by this point i think hes just trying to be a goon and scare me,or hes just being paranoid so i pretty much ignore him.

But as we finish rolling the joint and get up to go,he says he can see somthing under the bench behind the first one.Me thinking hes still trying to scare me walks towards it a bit and looks underneath,and i actualy can see the outline of somthing and it looks like a young kid crouched underneath the bench.Its pretty late at night so we start trying to coax the kid out thinking he might of run away from home or somthing.All of a sudden Ian goes its smoking,and i can see like the orange glow of the end of a cig.By this point im getting nervous because from the outline we could see,it looked far too young to be smoking...and it was just sat there ignoring us.Ian gets a bit closer and starts telling it to get out from underneath the bench.And like its head turns round and there is two orange glows,I think we both realised it wasnt a cig at the same time cos we both ran like little girls and didnt stop till we were out of the park haha.

Thinking back now,it was probaly a badger or somthing,the orange eyes were just probaly its eyes reflecting the light,it was a big park with a huge graveyard so there is probaly all sorts of wildlife in there :) scared the crap out of me at the time though.

of course it has a scientific explanation, it was ghosts.

The paranormal is another word for 'undiscovered science'. In the past, humans thought that rain was the tears of gods, that thunder was the voice of gods, that stars were sky flowers, but now we know better.

Regarding ghosts, there are 2 theories concerning their existence:

1) Ghosts could be psychic imprints of individuals' minds recorded on space-time, especially when a traumatic experience has caused significant damage to the mental state of the aforementioned individual.

This theory also inspired the 'Ju-on/Grudge' movies, where individuals who died in a traumatic state of mind left negative traces on their environment which became a kind of disease that infected other people and caused them similar distress.

2) That ghosts are natural, terrestrial creatures that grew and evolved on Earth. They could be ethereal creatures that feed on radiation and sunlight. They might be able to shape-shift and take the form of people or animals, as some people report seeing doppelgangers or apparitions of living creatures. They exist on a light frequency that our eyes are unable to detect, but certain equipment can, explaining why ghosts usually seem to appear on photographs and video footage rather than being actually seen with the naked eyes.

Huh?I wasnt saying ghosts are scientific.....I was explaining to flakeybark about sleep paralysis as thats what it sounded like.Why does everyone have to take stuff out of context :confused:

Anyway i believe you Flakeybark,id hate to have sleep paralysis,it would scare the crap out of me to wake up but not be able to move or speak *shudders*

I use to live in a house which was an old victorian one.that house was creepy as hell,im not sure if it was just my imagination,but id here weird stuff at night even when my parents were out at the pub,my mum swore down that stuff used to get moved round in her room aswell.My mum got increasingly freaked out and called a priest in to bless it eventualy.

Jesus, those are really creepy stories! This thread is freaking me out, cause it's reminding me of all these scenes from movies, like the ghost in A Tale of Two Sisters (shudder) :eek:

My brother bought this antique chest of drawers once, and he and his girlfriend were both getting all these negative vibes from it, like it was evil. So they had to get rid of it. That kinda disturbs me, just thinking about it...

The part about the eyes sounds creepy and familiar. Have you ever heard of Spring Heeled Jack? He was sort of a poltergeist menace about a hundred years ago. He would move up and down the country terrifying victims with red eyes and green breath. He would jump up and down knocking at upstairs windows. He always fascinated me. There were a couple of reports in my area. Real or not, the stories send chills down my spine. I’m waiting for a movie to be made about him.

No ive not heard of that before,but thanks for the link,i will definatley read up on that :).It happend years ago and i try and tell myself it wasnt real,or just my mind playing tricks on me.:confused:

It was freaky as hell at the time though.

I've gone upstairs to grab some food late at night a few times and found the TV on with nothing but static. The likely explanation is that the dog sat on the remote or something, but it still scared the crap out of me when I turned to look at the livingroom and noticed the flashy blue light on the wall.

And speaking of pictures, there's one that creeped me out horribly when I was a kid. A painting by a norwegian artist meant to depict the Black Death.

Also, I suggest making links rather than direct posting of images if they're slightly creepy. I'm fine with it, but imagine there could be some faint hearts out there.

Personally, I 'believe' in demons yes. It tends to be anyone with firsthand experience typically goes insane or seeks truth, as you simply cannot refute some things that may happen.

Close encounters as such stopped when my mother started studying the bible with Jehovah Witnesses, go figure. I used to get alot of sleep paralysis, general feelings of terror, night terrors, one out of body experience and stuff moving around the house (gogo inanimate objects).

The only soloution is faith, mediums and trinkets are directly against what is written biblically, fittingly for the world these things are widely used. The more suspicion and interest you put into these things, the worse they get.
