Everyone thinks I'm a weirdo...I feel so lonely

I'm so depressed. Having friends and having good times with them is bliss to me. Being accepted is the greatest feeling I have ever known. I don't get this feeling enough.

Sadly, I have a habit of saying the wrong thing or sometimes my voice goes into a weird accent. I have a lot of talking fears, so when I speak it comes out wrong. I use good body language and express myself in a passionate way, people just can't be bothered to listen to me- People either laugh at my conversational blunders or ignore me. This hurts me deeply because it makes me feel inferior to them, that I can't make a simple conversation. It is not the people I hang out with, because it's happened to me all through my life

I'm so sad. I want people to like me and not think I'm weird. Not being able to communicate well makes me feel alienated from everybody!

Hey TooMuch!

Can you find people who might APPRECIATE your funny accents or such?
Or maybe learn new languages where your knack for accents could come handy?

Laughter is a big gift, it prolongs lives...
It might feel painful, if you think people might be laughing at you, instead of with you...

You know Ringo Starr of the Beatles used to make silly sentences all the time, and they laughed at him, and some of that made it into songs... !! Very famous songs indeed!!
And he was a totally adorable fellow, even though he said silly things some of the time!!

Maybe think about it that way - as being 'creative' and 'inventive' with language?

Maybe a drama or improv workshop or a rhetoric workshop/course could help? Or Toastmasters or such? Or maybe drama therapy, or even language/speech course if you're not a native speaker? Or maybe 'speech therapist' or such if you are a native speaker? Like in the film 'King's Speech' or play or film 'Pygmalion' or 'My Fair Lady'?
Any such options locally?

I have a new friend who talks with a funny accent sometimes like a pirate etc. I Think it's cool. I have no accent and get made fun of in French class. It sounds like you have good friends, which is great. It's hard to "please" everyone just be yourself and the right ones will be there for you :)
