I been doing this job skills program this week, 9am-330pm and its alot of listening and writing etc. Theres about five people there, and i sit at a table with this 40 or so yr old guy {nice guy though}.When we begin filling out our booklets i get this overwhelming sense of discomfort and i fear of loosing control and embarassing myself. It makes me squirm in my seat, and just sucks overall.Does anyone else have a problem with writing in front of people {class setting}?Im also afraid to speak to them, but i try anyway.Like when the instructor is looking for answers i will contribute etc.But my voice comes out weak and i freak that my voice my crack or somethin :(

sometimes it helps to look up if you think people are looking at you because you see no one cares what you are doing and are doing their own thing. When i get that feeling i force myself to look around.

hey rko74 :) ...at my job i'm on the safety committee....and we have meetings with the owner at a restaurant every three months....at these meetings, i am the secretary and take down the minutes....i volunteered to do that so i could talk less cause i was busy writing  ...but, lately, i feel awkward when i'm writing and i feel like everyone else is like at a standstill...while i'm getting caught up on the writing part...and watching me write 8O .....and sometimes my notes come out all weird and sloppy cause i'm rushing through it

Yea I understand that rko74.I have always had this phobia about writing anything in front of other people.I go out of my way never to be close to anyone when I write something down.People aren't paying attention to what your writing but sa makes it feel like they are.

When I used to sit exams at school/ college, and an exam moderator (usually a teacher), walked past my desk during one, I used to either momentary stop writing, or I covered up my work until they went past!
