Feel gross

Recently I was diagnosed with gout. This is bad in its self, but when your 19 and diagnosed its worse. I feel so fat and gross because of it. I started to eat a lot healthier, but no matter what I eat I feel bad. I don't even like to eat anymore cause what ever I eat I feel pathetic and fat. I admit after I was taken out of the hospital I gained a lot of wait last year I gained 50 pounds. Just thinking of that makes me sad. I get people making fun of my weight a lot now and I'm trying so hard to lose it, but it seems I can't and I keep trying. Yet another note is I'm unmotivated because no matter what I do I feel fat and gross. Sorry I just really had to let out what was bugging me.

Oh my dad has gout, it's supposed to be painful at times. I'm sure you've been told to avoid tomato and stuff like that. I also had a lot of luck losing weight by reducing how much sodium I eat, I also never add any salt to anything. Also make sure to eat more vegetables, grains, drink less soda, and eat fresh meat, that last one may sound odd, but basically avoid frozen food if you can.
So my diet is more or less a chicken sandwich (if you get frozen try to get unbreaded chicken) and some fruit. I've managed to go down from around 222 to 203 or so this semester, and when I was in high school I was around 311, little things help out a lot.

Don't worry, you'll overcome this and you're gonna end up a winner! It's terrifying at first but I am sure everything will end up okay.

I am by no means a nutritionist/dietitian, but I do try to stay well informed about nutrition and I eat really healthy. May I ask what foods you have been eating? I don't really know what restrictions you have with gout but I do know foods to eat to lose weight, and I would be glad to give you my advice.

Well I noticed I am slimming down because I drink about 2 liters of water everyday. On top of that I've been giving myself portions the size of my palm for meat, and been trying to eat more fruits and vegetables. I have also been eating more healthier snacks, like instead of chips I would have a rice cake, that sorta stuff. I do feel better but in my mind I still feel gross for even getting gout. What caused it was my soda drinking, I would drink 2 liters a day at least.
