I've always watched porn, even when I've had girlfriends. I should cut it out though, because it makes me lose my sense of what real-life lovemaking is like, and it makes the real world seem anti-climatic. In that regard I suppose I'm a bit de-sensitized from it, which can't be a good thing.

There is nothing wrong with watching porn, if u don't have a girlfriend or boyfriend its the way to go, lol (don't hold ur dick in your hands all day, though ) We are only human, don't put too much pressure on yourself and by the way everyone does it and if they don't then something is wrong with them or they are just way too old.

It funny that strip clubs were mentioned. My friends dragged me to a strip club one time several years ago. And I'm sad to say that even women whose earnings depend on their successful interactions with strange men ignored me.

Needless to say, that did wonders for my self esteem. I couldn't even pay a woman to be near me. YES!

Im no expert, but I personally prefer softcore porn. It leaves something to the imagination. Also its more sensual/erotic, whereas the hardcore stuff seems to just be raw f*****g. But I guess thats all some people want to see? =/

I dont think theres anything wrong with it though. We are all sexual beings.

A lot of this porn culture is quite disgusting though. Some of what you see really isnt sexy at all.

yea, I decided to give up porn a few years ago, and if I'm honest it's been one of the most difficult things I've ever had to give up! Not only is the sexual drive a very powerful force but we're also living in an world that is thoroughly saturated with sex everywhere you look, and with the internet it's so easily accessible now. Temptation is all around, and ridicule is not far behind that either, but I don't care. I'm sticking to my convictions. I think porn is bad thing.

here are my reasons for quitting porn [and lust in general]
1. Our bodies and sub-conscious minds can't tell the difference between whats real and whats imagined. Imagining a lapdance and actually getting one are two points along the same path imo.
2. If you view porn, you're fuelling the pornography industry which I don't believe is a good thing.
3. Because I want everything that comes with being a person who doesn't lust

a] the feeling of being pure and clean
b] The feeling of being strong and self controlled
c] Having faith in the strength of my will power
d] being a unique person that doesn't conform to the world
e] not undervaluing women.

4. plus lastly, because I've never heard anyone accuse a person who doesn't watch porn as being morally wrong. The moral questions are being asked of the people who watch porn, not those who don't. So it's just easier. If you don't watch porn you can feel safe that you're not doing anything wrong. If you do watch porn then you run the risk that you might be doing something wrong.

I can understand feeling the guilt afterwards. I remember when I first saw some, and that was around age 12, sitting in my room with the volume down and door closed at night. But as I've gotten older (I'm 16 now going on 17), I've loosened up about it. I think society/media plays a factor in it, becuase of all the negative myths and critism that comes along with it, and the positive. Porn kind of carries mixed messages. It's like you can feel good about it, but then you're not supposed to feel good about it...?... I dont know if it makes sense what im saying, but u get the idea.

All in all, sex is sex, it exists, so it shouldn't be all that bad and foreign, lol. We all have reasons for why we look at it; to make up for no girlfriend/borfriend, curiosity, excitement, etc. And also it could be because of repression, which is probably why I look at it sometimes and or think about it. Maybe that's your outlet of expression. cause of being too shy to express it with others. I mean I'm just guessing, but anyway, I hope you feel better about it, or whatever. (Oh and I'm a female, just to let ya know)

Aww, I don't really think it's something you should feel ashamed about. I mean, we're all human and we really do have sexual needs! So yeah, if someone has a boyfriend or girlfriend they may not be looking at porn too much, since they have the real thing I guess. Damn them. lol.

Well, I am a 22 year old female and I watch porn. Yeah, I used to feel guilty about it, not because I thought it objectified women or something, just cause I thought it was a bad or shameful thing to do. But I'm over that and now I watch porn guilt free! Haha. I really think the shame and guilt factor surrounding porn is just something society has created though.

If you become too addicted to it or think you're watching it too much, or if it becomes a huge habit which takes up a lot of your time, then yeah, that could be viewed as a negative thing. But I mean, if you watch it once in a while I don't think it's too bad. As I said, we all have sexual desires, and if watching porn is one of the only ways you can fulfill it, if you don't have a girlfriend or boyfriend I guess, then by all means!

And I see two females posted above me me saying that don't mind watching porn, so hey, don't feel so bad about thinking it "objectifies women." I say just try to get into a zen state and enjoy it! lol.
