To begin with I have a lot of mental illness, mixed with autism. I used to never speak to anyone, I would just listen to music and play video games. Over the years my mental illness got worse and worse and is still a problem to this day.
But I noticed something, despite all my illness I'm very social. I can still be awkward, but I can still talk to complete strangers and be nice and funny. For example I was in the art store the other day and I was browsing this lady was looking for something so I helped her and then we started a conversation and cracked jokes and we talked for a few minutes. I wasn't nervous or anything. Even when I'm working at the senior home I talk to everyone worry free.
I never over think and it all feels so natural, although I have mental illness that's bad I feel like I've defeated my social anxiety all together. I may not understand some emotions due to autism but socially I have no fear
