Guys: Ask Us Guys! (about girls)

Ask any question about girls, I don't care how crude it is. This will be straightforward and to the point, I don't beat around the bush.

I've studied psychology with a major focus on evolutionary psychology and abnormal psychology (particularly social anxiety and depression). I've studied neuro-linguistic programming, social interaction, self improvement, and the favorite of my studies: the art of attraction and seduction.

Not only have I done the research, but I've seen it applied in person. I've watched the experts, I've picked their brains, I've had them critique me, and I've applied the tools that I've learned and gotten success.

One of the first things a guru will teach you is that women are the worst source of advice on women (most of the time), simply because, unless she's really experienced, her advice tends to echo that of Hollywood conditioning, aka "I just want a guy to be himself, to be nice and buy me flowers."

I'm not the best source of advice either. The best source of advice are the gurus, like the ones I mentioned in my "Can't get a girlfriend?" thread. But I've studied them enough that I can predict what their answers would be, and I do have experience of my own.

Go!

I like this guy. I'm starting to think I've been barking up the wrong tree my entire life with girls. So far I've striked out time and time again, the only time I made something work is when I did the opposite of what I always do. I don't see how he's bashing women in anyway. It is what it is...so far everything I've read makes perfect sense to what I've witnessed in real life.

yeah i know, but it's also a place for you to act like you know everything about women and try and persuade otheres that you know best and most probably that all women are scum!

I love women, and I'd make this thread anonymously if I could, I really don't care if people think I know best. They can take the advice or leave it. This is only for guys that want help, because I know SA makes the whole girl situation stagnant

I'd like to get your opinion on something.

In terms of initiating contact with a girl, theres a girl I know has interest in me I've IM'd her a couple times now but she has never been the first to contact me first. We still don't really know each other.. should i keep contacting her first? Or should I wait for her to show more interest..... the only thing I'm afraid of is if I don't keep in contact with her she'll think I'm not interested and move on.

How often are you guys in contact? I would say wait a couple days and give her the chance to contact you, to show a little scarcity.

edit: Reason being is because if you're constantly contacting her, you might come across as needy. But if you don't contact her at all, you'll come across as disinterested. So it has to be both ways, she needs to make some effort too

Yeah I know what you're saying. She is actually the one who added me on msn now that I think about it, she also was the first person to message me. The story is I was at a party and she flipped at my friend because he goes out with her friend(no need for an explanation) . She wanted to tell me "shes not a psycho" haha. I talked to her for a bit then and waited a day then messaged her, talked to her for a little while. So now i guess I should wait again?

Well my question might be abit hard to answer because its abit vague and you dont know me. But im just furstrated that i dont get any female attention, including sex and i cant suddenly turn into a really smooth confident guy, its just not me, id feel like i was acting fake, and coming across as an idiot and it wouldnt be comfortable. I dont have a big macho cocky attitude, im just a shy, quiet, and nice (imo) guy and i cant see why girls (atleast ones ive come across so far) dont like that too. And thats not even a quetion as it turns out, just a furstration. And if getting this attentian requires trying to pretend im something im not, and failing to do that successfuly while going through emotional agony, then id rather pay for it to be honest, and thats a last resort, as it still wouldnt be a girl noticing me and appreciating me, and liking me as much as i liked her.

Hahaha :D

That's an indicator of interest. She qualified herself to you because she cares about your opinion of her, aka that's a good sign :D

If she seems interested (which I think she is, just judging by the fact that she added you, IMed you, and qualified herself to you), and if she's holding up her end of the conversation, I would feel free to talk to her again as soon as you'd like.

Yeah man I see where you're coming from. I don't think you have to drastically change your personality to be successful with women. Shyness, though, is a turnoff to women, plain and simple. It is possible for you to become outgoing. The process can be emotionally painful due to potential rejections, but it's worth it.

Thanks man. I guess the conversation went good with her last night because she just messaged me haha. I hope I play my cards right.

Would you say its even a turn off to girls who are shy themselves, SickJoke?

Typically girls are attracted to guys that are social, but you might find a special case. Your chances will be 10000 times better if you work to become outgoing.
