I love my body, it is well shaped. But, after using some strange prescribed "brand new scientifically proof extra mood stabilizing chemicalies" , i switched my wish to go out with wish to eat at night. It wasnt a healty meal, after i quit that i finally again taste the sweetness of food. I was bored yesterday and found out a gym in my neighbourhood.
It is a real cheap and it is real pleasure if you are a bit idiotized.

How in the hell can you go to the gym and lift those weights? It is a strange loss of energy , u do useless thing and u feel better, how come?
Why dont u carry some cargo for some old lady or man for nothing? U r paying just to torture your body with un-natural activity, i dont get it.
I think ill have to read a more of Ambrouse Bierces "Devils dictionary" to understand all bits of human behaviour

Natural? By what logic do you subscribe? Is it not natural for humans to improve themselves? You say it is more natural for us to go back to old methods and ways that are much less practical? That isn't natural in the least. That is in conflict with our very nature, my good sir!

You weaken the body so it can grow stronger. You need a strong will power to push past fatigue and reach new levels of fitness. There is not one wrong or anything in conflict with nature about exercise. It is the best activity to indulge in. It will do everything good for you and has even proven to make you smarter!

Exercise is more healthy for you than healthy eating. If you just eat some organic vegan weird ass diet you won't be as healthy as a guy that busts his ass in the gym and eats anything he likes. Never forget that exercise is king, nutrition is queen, and together you have a kingdom.

You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Exactly zero

I bid you good day, sir!

How does it work in a gym.....I would be way to scared to go, even though I've been told it would benefit me greatly?

What if people stared and said things like, oh what the hell are you hear for?

And how does the equipment work?

I'm not gym savvy I'm afraid

You are right, i m mainly bullshitin. But if i have a right on my own opinion i will tell that the exercise you are given in a gym are non natural because you wont do anything like that in non-gym life in any occasion. Plus-it is extremely boring, i tried a bit. I did exersise sometimes at home, but only using my body as a weight, dont know how to describe that but i m sure u know what i mean since in some of your post i saw you admire old fashion athletic man. This summer i swam 2 or 3 kilometers every day for a month on open sea. If u want broad shoulders to be even more broader i think it is the key. But, despite that i know some guy who is a marathon swimmer and dont have a broad shoulders-this is the lonely case and i dont know why. If u look at waterpolo swimmers they are all perfectly built. I tried to join a waterolo group since i m very fast swimmer but i didnt have much condition (cant swim long distances), mainly when u come here they want a pro-team that makes money and idea of healty recreational fun fells off since they force u to swim like dolphins on excstasy. I admire those u live by the sea because they have opportunity to swim every day, swimming in a chlored pool aint the same thing..
Anyway, any type of exercise is good , i agree with you , it can decrease your levels anxiety for few hours , same time lessen your depression for some minore percent. Even a gym thing would be considerable to me, at a place where i have been recently there is a free gym on open, by the sea. U can come and go whenever u wish , dont have to talk to gym stuff at all. It is a marvelous idea, sport should be free of charge.

Tell me , what u think of anabolics , steroids, some of my friends use them and they think that it is not dangerous?

Go to the gym. I have extreme SA, and it has helped me tremendously. I love lifting weights and progressing. 95% of the people in the gym don't know exactly what they are doing. I don't care what they do, and I'm certain they don't care what I'm doing. I've gone from 160 to 230lbs and stayed at the same bodyfat (approx 10%). It's made me feel good about myself. You need to have an outlet of some kind. Nothing good will come from sitting in your room staring at the walls. I know because I've been doing that for a long time and well...nothing good has come from it. It's hard to get the motivation to go to the gym if you have never been. You will want to quit everyday for a month or so. Maybe you will love it right away. If you get your diet squared away (i.e. condusive to weight-training/fat loss) and you keep sticking with the program you will be amazed at the transformation you can make in just 3 months or so of steady training. Like everything else you have to make it happen and that starts by...well uhh starting it. :) Then stay with it. Best of luck to you. It will be one of the best things you could ever do for yourself. I'd be happy to help in any way possible. Take care.

I'm sorry I kinda chewed you out

If exercise is boring than you probably aren't doing it right. There are just a bunch of ways to train that you probably have never thought of before. You can train like an Olympic weightlifter or a strongman or a powerlifter or you can train like a body builder. Whatever makes you want to train. You can lift kettlebells or sandbags or you can lift big rocks. Exercise is simply a means to and end. Find the end first and then the means.

There is a whole school of thought about 'functional strength' which I frankly think is just a way for fitness people to screw the public out of their money. They use the argument that you don't lift a dumbbell in your normal life so why train with a dumbbell. Kinda like saying you shouldn't get self defense training because in the real world you don't wear uniforms. Exercise is a means to an end.

I don't go to the gym myself. I got a weight set for Christmas and I exercise in the front yard.

I personally don't exclusively use weights. I have no idea how much I bench  . I do elevated one arm push ups. Simple and effective. I also do chine ups/pull ups from a branch on a tree in my back yard. Handstand push ups are also great. I think a blend of weight training and bodyweight training is great. There isn't any reason to choose one over the other.

The reason endurance athletes don't have big muscle is because of the way they train. Endurance training doesn't lead to big muscles. Max strength is usually built in the 1-5 rep range (powerlifter) for size it is 8-15 reps (bodybuilder) anything past that isn't really going to do much for hypertrophy (size). Does Lance Armstrong have big legs? Nope, but he can ride on forever. He isn't nearly as maximally strong as a strength athlete or a bodybuilder.

Steroids are terrible. They rot your body from the inside out. Take a look at the bodybuilders that took them and years later had strokes and heart attacks. Here in the US a wrestler killed his family and then himself because of the mood swings caused by steroids.
