Have I got Social Phobia????? I find it difficult and embarrasing to be introduced to strangers, the opposite sex more so, I find it hard to make conversation with strangers, I cant go out with my partners friends or even be in the house when they come round. I can go shopping alone but feel like every looks at me & I experience anxiety flushing and blushing. I find it difficult and intimidating if some one looks in my eyes for too long. I always feel as if others are going to judge me harshly. To socialise I need a drink. Ive had numerous jobs and have left because I felt like I couldnt cope. I find it difficult making friends, I feel like when in a working environment Im going mad, and others think Im mad or just weird. Have I got social phobia??????

None of us are doctors mate, so thats probaly why people are reluctant to turn round and say yes/no about you having social phobia, we cant really diagnose you.

But i will say what your describing does show all the classic symptoms of social phobia,and what your going through everyone on here knows what it's like and are pretty much in the same boat :(

I know... I just so want to get this sorted and it would be horrible if I was barking up the wrong tree, bin in denile and not knowing whats wronge for so long, I have only accepted this for a couple of weeks now
