I have been hearing a lot of stuffs about a fruit called Noni. According to the articles the fruit is superfruit with the ability to fight diseases of joints, diabetes, cancer, and even depression. I want to know if any of you have heard about it too or have tried it.

LOL, actually I am into health industry. Basically, I sell organic fruit juices and health supplements. But I don't want to promote anything. So, I need to know whether people actually heard of the stuffs I sell and got benefits from the same.

No I had never heard of it until I just googled it.

It seems there has not yet been any scientific evidence produced to prove it actually works though. :idontknow:

I would be a bit hesitant to try it though after reading the possible side affects!.........

"Special Precautions & Warnings:

Pregnancy and breast-feeding: Do not take noni if you are pregnant. Historically, noni has been used to cause abortions. It is also best to avoid noni if you are breast-feeding. Not enough is known about the safety of taking noni during breast-feeding.

Kidney problems: Noni contains large amounts of potassium. This can be a problem, especially for people with kidney disease. There is one report of a person with kidney disease developing high levels of potassium in the blood after drinking noni juice. Don’t use noni if you have kidney problems.

High potassium levels: Drinking noni fruit
juice might increase potassium levels and make them even higher in people with already too much potassium in their body.

Liver disease: Noni has been linked to several cases of liver damage. Avoid using noni if you have liver disease."

I have always wondered in ancient tribes WHO in the tribe was forced to try any new wild growing plant/fruit/vegetable they came across to see if it was poisonous?

Did they draw straws/sticks? And whoever picked the shortest one was then the next "test person" to ingest the newest plant/fruit/vegetable discovery?

Or did they have some sort of ancient "pecking order" and the tribes people on the lowest level were next in line to see if something new was poisonous.

Or did they have a voting system, so the most hated person of the tribe would end up with the most votes, so he/she would be the least missed if they ate something that was deadly?

Good point, bluedays! Lots of marketing hype regarding this fruit juice. But there are some celebrities who are not far from promoting noni juice. Miranda Kerr gives all the credit to Noni juice for her beautiful personality. She said she has been drinking this ancient fruit juice since her childhood. I wonder if she claims such things out of some profit from the product company or if it her true experience.

Miranda Kerr's yoni juice must be pretty special. The magic elixir of life! I'll take what she's got. Orlando bloomed on it! :giggle:

Yes, but I wonder which brand of Noni juice she drinks. These celebrities never tell the brand name unless they are getting money to promote it.
