I'm in a bad spot and I need advice

I'm in a bad spot and I need advice. A few weeks ago, I finally managed to gather up the courage to ask the boy I like to prom. He said yes. Today he told me (in the nicest way possible) that he couldn't attend because he thought prom was in two weeks, not two days, and asked if we could still be friends. (He had bought a ticket yesterday, I'm not sure if it had the date on it as the school did not exactly make the date very clear.) I am not sure if he knows I like him or if he does, if he is uncomfortable with this. What should I do? My school has less than 100 kids and I do not want to show my face in school. I won;t know how to talk to him after this.

Re: Help?

He'll be fine, he isn't going to burst into flames because a nice girl likes him. Just deal with things as they develop and try not to worry too much before there's any reason to.

You really should be proud of yourself for taking such a scary chance. Focus on the positives here, you're a very brave person.

Wow, such memories, the school... What a crap.

Then you enter in the laboral world and everything gets even worse

I would say just act like it never happened and act really chill about it. That way it he doesnt start acting awkward or anything. Anyways the good news is theres over 3 billion guys on this planet (probably a few less adults) and he's just one. So you could literally ask a different guy to the prom every day and still wouldnt meet all of us in your lifetime.
