I've tried Kava Kava in the past (not from the Bodybuilding.com website), and for me it was the most effective herbal remedy.
However it was banned in the UK some years ago due to safety concerns about possible liver damage, although I'm not sure whether the ban still exists today.

It used to put me to sleep as a little kid. Thanks for reminding me though, I'm gonna give that a shot.
