How are you feeling?

He does sound quite troubled. It's not surprising he wouldn't like the idea of a psychiatrist. Is it perhaps possible to talk about the situation to a professional? If not your brother, perhaps you or one of your parents? Even if merely to get someone's educated opinion about what's going on, and some insight on how to best approach it.

My brother's over 18 so he's an adult. No one can force him to go to see a psychiatrist. In the past, I did call several hotlines and the advice that I get from the counselors is to get away from him. He isn't as violent as in the past. As long as I avoid him as much as possible, it should be good.

Exhausted and surreal, I don't want to face the upcoming weeks. I'm lost and overwhelmed. I have no idea what I am doing or what will happen.

I'm feeling pretty down. I was feeling fine but then I suddenly felt sad and overcome with the urge to cry. I just want to be normal, why did I have to have these stupid problems that exclude me from everyday life? The world is a cruel, cruel place

I'm sorry you feel that way, Sir. Usually with things they end up washing over you and before you know they're over. So just hope that things will work out well and that you'll cease to feel lost. Not much advice, but it's all I can offer at the moment. Stay strong! :)

I'm exhausted. I've done 2 hours of very intense cardio today and frankly, I'm worn out! But I still have strength work to do once my dinner has settled.

First of all: Happy new year everyone!
But how's my year so far? Pretty bad. I spent the new year's eve together with the girl I thought she likes me. We watched a movie after midnight, watched fireworks, and slept next to each other, but nothing happened, not even a kiss. Just touching, feeling each other. Next morning I watched another movie with her and before I left I wanted to kiss her and she were passive. The best time I possibly ever had with anyone, and my enthusiasm was gone just in 1 moment only, with a "Sorry, but no." I went home, with a bad feeling. When I got home and saw what she wrote on chat I had lot worser feelings. She just doesn't like me that way, and she's asking me to accept that. I had a horrible evening yesterday. Today was 1% better altogether. I am now trying to calm myself down and it isn't going to be easy.

I am feeling 10 times better than what I was for the last few days. Yesterday was really crappy though, as all I did was basically cry from anxiety.

Last night I found my cat upstairs where he was hiding all day and once I brought him back down to get him to eat and drink, I saw that his other legs was also completely bare from where he just ripped out all his fur. So he has two very large, really chapped bald patches on him. I basically had a breakdown, as I believed there was something seriously wrong with him because all he did was hide and cower and was refusing to eat and drink (until I coaxed him and then he'd come back to himself for a bit) and ripping out his fur for whatever reason. Within two days, since scheduling that appointment the other day, he had turned nearly completely avoidant to me and wouldn't even come downstairs to eat or drink hardly.

Anyway, long story short I took him to the vet this morning nearly on the verge of tears and when the vet saw him, she barely batted an eye. His whole problem was a sudden allergic reaction to fleas. Since he already has stomatitis -- which was flaring up again (I try my best to treat it but it's so hard) -- everything just stressed him out completely. He got a shot of cortisone, some hardcore flea medicine, he has to take antibiotics for a week, and the vet told me to continue what I was doing with putting petroleum jelly on his skin. Apparently he should be back to acting himself within a few days time. I'm SO relieved it wasn't anything more serious. Maybe I overreacted, but how he was acting and how fast his behavior changed scared me and I was actually prepared to receive horrible news and to put him down this morning.

Glad to hear that it wasn't anything serious and your kitty is on the mend!

As for me, I'm getting a sore throat but am determined to start my mini-resolutions which I hope will become habits! :)

Back in the world and back on an even keel. I don’t think it works out for me expecting to get my amusement from SPW during the long breaks.

Feeling quite "comfortable" right now  . Had been feeling somewhat "distressed" in past few days at least. But i've resumed alcohol (spirits), which has apparently fixed that, and last night/morning had a 7-hour music/binge, which i haven't done for ages. Didn't overdo it, so no hangeover .. but did sleep longer (about 12 hrs, which is normal as of late).

Hie yer hence from me heath!
^Whoa, I am sorry to read your uncle has passed away Graeme. Cancer is such a horrible thing. I hope your mother and sister are nice to you while you are grieving.

Ma mum's in shock too, losin' her brother. And she said he was okay when she saw him the other day on New Year's Day. He just seem to deteriorate so quickly. And equally devastated at losin' her brother.

I'm so sorry, Graeme. I hope he didn't suffer much. My thoughts are with you.

No, he didn't suffer. From what ma mother was told, he passed away peacefully. At least, we didn't have to see things slowly gettin' worse.

Anyway, thanks for yer condolenses, BlueDays and Starry.
