Depressed, and suicidal.

Finding it difficult tae cope with everything. Depression. Anxiety. Ma physically disability. Life in general...

It's becomin' more difficult fur me tae open up aboot ma issues because, whenever ah do that, I am usually met with anger, hostility and shoulder-shrugging indifference. It appears ma family suck at empathy - and they wonder why ah'm so anxious around them.

Ah cannae keep runnin' fae ma problems - no pun intended, there.

Im so sorry you are feeling that way. My Dad feels the same way. He woke up this morning and was so mad at me. I don't know why, because I take care of him and he should be lucky he has me around to do that. He said to me that he wished that he would die and be buried in a hole somewhere. I am so heartbroken to hear that people don't want to exist anymore. Hope you and him both can cheer up and please try to believe that tomorrow will be a brighter day.

Lost ...I don't know what to think anymore. May be I over analyse life. I always read this, the reason for sadness is our desires. The tendency to always want things you don't have and not be grateful and happy with things you do have results in dissatisfaction. If this is correct then , yeah I have a lot of work to do because I am so much dissatisfied with everything related to me. And most importantly get rid of all those unrealistic desires.

Yep. To be happy you have to lower your expectations to almost nothing.
Very very hard to do in a society that is always telling you to want more and that you deserve more and, oh look, here's some beautiful people we can shove in your face to let you know how little you got and to make you want even MORE!

Hopelessness is sinking in again. There were a few things I was looking forward to, but nothing panned out.
Now I'm just coasting, awaiting something that might make me actually want to get out of bed in the morning.

The police raided the residences of suspected terrorists in Sydney and Brisbane. It's like the bloody middle ages, the crusades all over again.

Yesterday I gave my former energy supplier a blast for holding back on Australia's renewable energy targets. I suggested that this is because they have so much invested in coal and gas and it would be economically damaging to their to profits to take clean energy more seriously.

They threatened to ban me from their facebook page.

 good job! Who cares if they ban you? More people should speak out about things.

Money/profits/greed is pretty much the only reason why Australia is not a completely solar country. We have so much sun so we should be harnessing it.

Kind of depressed. Kiwong (I think) mentioned the 9/11 vid about that guy on the elevator, so what do I foolishly do... go to YouTube. Mistake. Trying to block it out.

^ Very glad I don't live in a big city today.
The pic of the huge sword in the police evidence bag freaked me out. The police said that was one weapon they were planning on using.

This world is so screwed. :eek:h:

I am feeling scared to go to a big shopping centre now.

A couple of years ago I went to the city and almost got caught up in the Hyde Park riots. Sydney has changed since I live there.

You want to know how I got these scars?

Yea Australia has changed so much in the last 10-15 years. So much intolerance worldwide now. Each day I try to stay positive but I get the feeling that one day another war will erupt that will engulf us all. Its like each 2nd or 3rd generation doesn't really understand the horrors of war and are doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past..

I'm feeling pretty good actually. I took a test yesterday, and got an 85. That might not sound that great, but considering this is my third time taking this course ( the first time I flunked, the second time I dropped it because I was in danger of flunking and didn't want to hurt my gpa), this sets me up pretty nicely to do well in this course this time around. The previous two times I took this course, I never got higher than a 60 on any of the tests, so I think I'm finally getting the material now.

Do you think the authorities did the right thing?

I'm to the point where I feel like my government went and stirred the pot, now the whole world hates us. The least they can do is protect us civilians from the people they ticked off.
I know they watch us, and read our emails- and it's wrong and unfair, but they are in so deep now that they can't get themselves out, and unless they use surveillance, they won't be able to stop things before they happen (like 9-11.)
It's a double edged sword. I value both my privacy and my public safety.

I think the authorities might have gone over the top. It turns out only one person was arrested, after raids by 100s of police, with helicopters, police dogs and full tactical response gear. There are those who believe this is a tactic by the Government to deflect attention from other issues such as their unpopular budget. I accept the need for heightened security at Public events, but not the level that this has been taken to: a witch hunt and scaremongering.

^it sounds like what they did to civilians in Boston during the hunt for the marathon bombers. They raided a ton of homes, just barged in and went through peoples houses with out search warrants. Some say it was a trial to see how the public will react when a police state is enacted on the public in the coming yr. Technically they have no right to enter your home here with out a warrant and probable cause. They would have been shot at for doing that where I live which is why they try that stuff on people in cities.
