How do I deal with being truly ugly?

Beauty trully lies within a person. A person can look good looking on the outside but has nasty attiude and mentality on the inside.

Focus on other things in life than you CAN improve on, like education and a career. And stay fit and healthy, hygienic and positive. I don't know if you are uglier than Donald Trump, but I doubt it. I'm sure he does well in life. Oh and pardon my username, it was an inside joke with an ex. Have a good day.

This. Emphasis on the hygienic and positive part. And try to work on your confidence. Confidence will probably start to come naturally when you work on yourself. But work on being confident anyway.

I've seen some funny looking people around that people love and gravitate towards. They are confident and positive. People love confidence and positivity.

Try not to let yourself ever become bitter. As soon as you start to become bitter it compounds your problems and starts a loop that makes you more bitter

My appearance is not important to the things I love to do. These passions help me forget the concept of self.

There is no such thing as "ugly" in reality, so its not something to dwell on. You might think this is a self-help gimmick to trick you into thinking you're good looking or something, but its not. Really think about it. You are just you, a uniquely designed product of nature. The ugly label is only superimposed by the mind. Just remember that the what is supposedly ugly is a judgment of the mind which is conditioned by the society it grows up in. Ugly is 100% subjective.

In american society though, "pretty" is a commodity, so there's an emphasis placed on looks which can be made better by selling products. It's not an evil conspiracy theory, just how our capitalist society turned out, for better or worse. So don't beat yourself playing a game that can't be won. One of the greatest lessons to understand is that we must live fully as ourselves, not through arbitrary standards set up by forces beyond our control. You are all that you have. So simply offer yourself, as it's the greatest courage in the world. Open yourself and the world will open too.
