How Do You Guys Feel On A Crowded Bus...?

Hi guys, I'm from the UK...

Just wondering how you guys feel when you're on a pretty crowded bus.

I hate it when I first get on, pay the driver, and the bus is really full, especially when I can't get a back seat and have people sitting right behind me!

I had an experience of this earlier today, lol...

So how do the rest of you feel when you're on a packed bus, what's going on inside you're head in a situation like this?

I feel nervous. What makes it worse is that I don't use buses much at all since I've been driving so it's even more daunting.

The worst thing is when it is full when I go to school. Going from school at home is somewhat easier, I used to even skip 2,3 busses to avoid crowd. I suffer the most, if I can't get any seat and have to stay on feet, the bus is shaking and it seems all other people stare at me...

Vulnerable. Not particularly nervous. I went to college on the bus for three years and every journey I hoped that there weren't going to be any tw*ts on it (ie. buggering about and making me feel even smaller). Of course sometimes there were. It would have been so good if I had been able to drive at that time.

A school/college bus is probably worse, because everyone else is with their friends and you're alone. At least on a 'normal' journey most of the people don't know each other.

This is one of the things that made me realize how bad my social anxiety was.

yea im the same i try to avoid the crowded buses going home frm skool but my mate gets on them and i dnt wanna be left at the bus stop alone, i feel wen i get on every1 is watching me and im terrified ill fall ovr if i dnt hav a seat :?

A couple years ago when my social anxiety was first coming on, I would spend a lot of time taking a bus to my college campus and back. It would totally maximize my anxiety right before school had even started, and then again it would come on especially at the crowded campus and even worse in class. I only completed 1 out of 4 semesters due to this problem. That's why I found a job and am studying online to get a job that I can do from home.
