How to overcome facial blushing

At last, short ago I solved this terrible problem Ive had since i was born! Why I used to blush even when someone looked at me for one second... Why did it happen?! Cause I didnt accept that others may have had a terrible opinion about me... So blushing was like a request of forgiveness: "forgive me cause im not such a cool or good person" that is to say also being "different"; it also happens when we anticipate making a poor showing... And more shame we feel, more red our face will be: terrible experience! Other people laugh or think "poor of him!"... It really doesnt help to have good relations! So what's the solution? The solution is not to have more self confidence cause the problem is not your self-esteem but the bad feeling when people might judge you... Our soul has got lots of sides: inside us there are and live lots of sensations and emotions... One brainer has got a side which wud want him to go out and be "noisy"; an introvert person has got an extrovert side; a serious person has got a funny side and so on... We can be strong and weak, intelligent and stupid, caring and uncaring, good or bad, nice or unpleasant... If we accept that others can notice sides of us we dont like and if we accept that others can have a bad opinion about us (even unknown people or beautiful women) then the problem we'll be solved and u will not blush... U dont need to be prepared and u dont need to live the "bad" situation before in your head, cause when u notice ure face is about to blush, dont fight against this sensation, just accept this... Just think "ok, i feel other people can have a bad opinion about me... I dont fight against this sensation but i accept it and I give it room inside me"... For a moment its as if u are about to "faint"... But ur face will not blush! Try and tell me if it worked!!! Bye!!!!

you are so wrong in so many ways,to begin with if you think that people around you think bad of you and you have to accept it its wrong as in most cases people dont think anything of you or why should a stranger think bad of you,it takes years to know someone to judge them, not two minutes. The only part you got right is that brains tell you that people might be judging you or thinking you are a bad person, which is false signals its overacting signals that send you into panic mode.

There are a small number of researchers who study blushing in order to help people who suffer erythrophobia. A really good book to go to in order to discover what is known currently is - Crozier, W. R., & de Jong, P. J. (Eds.). (2013). The Psychological Significance of the Blush. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press. It will give a good overview on all the research by those researchers working in the field. In our university we are also working on research, with the current study (if you are interested) accessed via the Facebook page "Erythrophobia / érythrophobie".

It doesn't matter if people have only known you for two seconds, people judge other people. It's what they do. Fear of judgment and poor reactions to judgment are one of the main reasons for blushing. As soon as you turn that switch off and stop caring (which is hard, I know), you'll most likely rarely blush.

You're probably not even using this message board anymore, but still.
