Hyperhidrosis diet

Hello everyone!

I was wondering if there is a diet for hyperhidrosis sufferers that could lessen the sweating.

I know that hyperhidrosis sufferers should avoid things like caffeine, alcohol and spicy foods. But since I don't consume these things I was wondering if there are other foods involved that could cause more sweat.

What foods do affect your sweating?

Thanks

There is no known diet for our HH. There are tons of nutritional diets that might be of benefit to you, but nothing specifically that will work on your central nervous system connected to HH. There are billions of magic snake oil drinks and potions that may or may not do something for you? It's so individual.

I have noticed significant reduction in sweat the healthier/more plant based diet I eat. Fats/Oils/Meat/Dairy/processed foods/high sugar all make me sweat more in general. I have read that it is possibly because fats that are difficult to digest cause stress/inflammation in your system and sweat is our reaction to stress! I suspect a vegan diet would be best although I have never been able to stick to it.

Hi @Brenda!

Thank you for your post, I'm very curious to read the book but unfortunately the link does not work for me.
I can't find this book elsewhere on the internet. Is there another way to read this book?

Private message me with your email address and I'll send you a copy. It downloaded fine for me.
Also, try disabling your ad blocker and that might make it download.

Personally, I don't find the book very useful. I guess we are all different. Diet and teas has never really worked for me.
I've been vegetarian most of my life. Tried being macrobiotic, vegan, you name it, I've tried it. Diet just never had an effect on HH for ME. I won't even go into herbal supplements and vitamins. I've tried a lor of things to suppress my overactive nervous system. Benzodiazepines seem to slow it down, kills anxiety, and can ease sweating.

If you are really brave, look up Phenibut. Amazing stuff, addictive for some people. When you find your dosage it will make you more relaxed and that can have an effect on sweating. I've been using this stuff for several years. It has similar effects to benzodiazepines except at the correct dosage it works very subtlety. It's basically niacin with a molecule changed so that it passes the blood brain barrier. The effects lasts around 20 hours for ME.
It can be purchased at either Liftmode.com or powdercity.com which are 2 reputable companies. If you have an addictive personality, please be cautious and read as much as you can about Phenibut.
