I had Hyperhydrosis of the hands and feet since about the age of 12. I decided in my late 30's to have my hands done. What a mistake! Right hand done which I have to say is still ok today, but that is the only bit of me that is. My left hand was done the following year, collapsed lung during surgery (Surgeon used the old method not key hole... by gooey60

Hi. I have this huge problem. When my buttocks start sweating, the sweat smells REALLY bad. If I touch the sweat and smell it I go like WOW what the heck! The smell isn't pooh smell, but just a very bad sweat smell. This issue isn't a problem at school or at work, but it really is a problem if I want to have sex. I still haven't had sex, I'm... by Juninho

Hi all, well here goes with another attempt at controlling the beast! Just to fill you in, I have just moved to a new country (15 degrees C hotter than where I used to live and 80% humidity), I am speaking a second language here (anxiety levels at maximum) and have started a new, busy, stressful job (anxiety levels even higher). All in all a... by t02njp5

Yesterday I had a little medical procedure in the morning. So I didn't take glyco, or any other med beforehand. Also it was nicely cool. In mid-afternoon I walked up the street--it had turned bright, warm and humid. I'd forgotten how disgusting and slimey "sweat head" is.::(: Spent years of my life like that. Glad I don't have to. ... by margiehope

Dear all, Most of us Hyperhidrosis sufferers feel that the mainstream social networks like Facebook are a bit illusory, as there is no way they can aptly highlight our social tendencies or behavior. In fact, with the anxieties that accompany disorders like HH, such media can induce a demoralizing effect on our online and offline proclivities.... by sacaea

Hello (Multi-page thread 1 2)
I just ordered the trial size (I think it was 30 pills) of Avert. I read about the side affects (dry everything). Is it worth it. Also, how awesome is it not to sweat? I've been sweating since at least 6 years old. Needless to say, I've had my share of irritating moments with hyperhidrosis. Really hard to find a chick that likes getting touched by... by u_name

I was browsing the internet yesterday and came across someone that talked about using it and how effective it was. Anyone ever try it before? It's not something I've heard of before this but I googled it and a thread from a few years ago from this site popped up (can't link to it as I'm on a tablet). Apparently it's strong enough to dry out... by sportsfan8

Today I went downtown for some Sunday afternoon shopping. I decided to walk because I haven't gotten out much in the past week, and I figured it would take longer and somehow make up for the lost time i've spent indoors. So I finally get to my favorite store, only to see an old friend (female) in the men's department. At first I was thinking of... by mattbarneswillkillu

Hello alll, I havent posted much since joining the forum but have recently decided it's time to give Avert another try. I bought Avert on 2 separate occasions from Pharmacy.ca in the past, but never gave it much of a go. I'd take it sporadically and never really worked at determining the proper dosage for my facial / underarm HH. Anyway, I... by cubfan4real

Hi there, I'm new to the forum, and have only spent a little while browsing it. So I thought I'd give abit of backround about myself and my hyperhidrosis. *You can skip all this if you just want to know about the Beta Blockers I will be taking* I'm 22 now and have suffered from hyperhidrosis since I was around 14. My armpits and palms were... by WelshLad

4mg of Avert (same as Robinul) has been fairly consistent lately. Keeps me very dry including my face and forehead. Very happy about it!! I'm able to do normal stuff without being all sweaty. The dry mouth and dry throat sucks tho. This medicine basically stops secretions like sweat and saliva, so my mouth is really dry, my throat is really... by Mozart22

Has anyone experienced excessive sweating of the face and head? In my opinion, this is the worst kind of hyperhidrosis because it is the most visible and therefore the most embarrassing. It has almost ruined my life. by QuantumStates

I have found Maxim roll-on works really well on feet and underarms but I currently have to purchase it from Canada. It's quite expensive. You also pay shipping costs and always end up with paying an extra 12 at the Post Office for customs fee. Any idea who sells this in the UK. Many thanks by ukchick
