Hi guys,

I suffered from Agoraphobia for 11 years, it's the usual story, no support, extreme isolation and a near constant battle between depression and massive anxiety. In Feb this year, I managed to beat the damn thing at last, I made a couple of videos the first two are just after the event the very next day I managed to beat it. The third discusses my 8 months successfully going outside. It's still not easy, my maximum range is about 3 miles by foot right now, and while I have spent about 7 hours outside, when it comes to being in social places such as the local library I find more than 3 hours very stressful. But this is a vast improvement given that on day 1 a 5 minute trip into the local shop was enough to bring on those Agoraphobic feelings. I've also started volunteer work teaching others without computer skills how to, well use computers!

Well done! You've also done another very important thing, which is realizing that it's all in your mind, and that it's okay to be outside and still be calm. Now you have to keep taking steps forward (literally as well) and not allow yourself to be too down whenever there's a setback.

March on!
