I feel ya pain I completely understand you. I am 40 yrs old, I became phobic at 13 and have had bouts of complete house-boundness (longest for 5 years). I hate this condition so much, I absolutely don't know why I wake up most days. Sorry to be a bummer, just know that you are not alone.. as far as trying to live with this.. my advice is to at least get out at least once a day, even if it is to your back yard... avoidance = housebound.. believe me I know to well and if anyone can benefit from my bad past I hope they take my advice. Best of luck to you~

Yeah man anybody with this illness should see a psychiatrist regularly to get medication/therapy. I did, then thought I could beat it on my own. I now have realized that i can't, and I'll be reuniting with my psychiatrist again soon.

Hang in there... ...or should I say, try and get out more. Every little step towards the goal gets you closer. Stagnation gets you deeper in. Fight for your future happiness - you are worth it.

If you are stoic and have nothing to offer anyone, friend wise, then leaving will only lead to disappointment.

I have tried leaving my place, but when I go out to socialize, people soon realize I am boring and ignore me. I wish there was some pills or operation that could fix my personality.

I don't think anyone would trade places with me, unless you being eaten by a shark or sawed in half at this very moment....maybe not even then. A lot of people tell me, "if I were you, I'd kill myself." I'm bet if I mentioned the S word to a psychologist, he might support it.
