It depends on what youre doing. I worked as a dishwasher in a college cafeteria, I was stuffed way in the back and didnt have to work with or talk to anyone (thats good). I was there for 6 years and started getting pretty depressed, as in borderline suicidal (thats bad).
Heres what I can tell you though if you have to talk to the students (I work off and on at another colleges bookstore) eventually whats likely to happen is that you will end up getting used to it since you really only have to see someone for just a few minutes, as well as youll see so many that the sheer number will just blur together.
I just hope youve got a better position than dishwasher, thats worse than having to deal with people for a few minutes at a time.
