If anyone feels ignored...

Ok, if anyone feels like they are being ignored on this forum, this is probably not the case. (Sometimes I see threads with no replies) I have felt/I am feeling ignored on another forum where I post, and they told me the same thing. I for one, don't come on here that often, and when I do, I don't usually have time to post many replies. It is probably not that people are ignoring you, they just might not now how to reply, and being a S.A. site, this may be the reason. This post is just to perhaps clear things up a little. I hope you understood what I meant. Take care everyone.

It appears that posts are read by many and replied to by few except for certain subjects which attract lots of attention and feeling. When someone is calling for advice/help it's nice to see someone reply and often a little help or just an acknowledgement can go a long way. Also, I believe that sa makes it difficult for some of us to post when they would otherwise with no problem.

I too hope members don't feel ignored. I know how that feels like.

I actually don't mind replying to every thread, but sometimes the system doesn't allow me to. I don't know if the site moderator made it such that not more than two postings can be made at one time (that's the max no I'm able to post). There have been times when I've typed away happily only to loose it all. I don't knkow if they're still working on the system or if it's gonna always be like this.

Anyway, I would like to encourage more SA's to post.

It's ok. Nobody is judging you here and we would all like to read from you, hear your stories and learn from you too. Don't keep to yourself what you can share with others and help make thier lives better.

I agree, alot of threads are read and there aren't many replies. Sometimes I can't think of a reply straight away or I don't have much time to sit down and reply to a topic that I can relate to but that doesn't mean that I'm not interested and usually I'll come back a couple of days later when I've got more free time to make some replys. I find these posts very helpful and have noticed that many of us here are at different stages in our recovery from social phobia and can help each other out. Even though some people don't reply it doesn't mean they are not interested. Maybe they are just unable to at the moment.

I found this site a few days ago, and the people who post here are the most encouraging boardies ever.
Yeah, sometimes (most times) I don't know how to reply, so I don't. But I still read and appreciate.
Plus, I'm not exactly in the position to give people advice. So I just shut my mouth.

It might be that you're waiting too long to submit your posts from the time you start writing it. I had that problem for ages due to my essayistic tendencies
If you type in a Word Processor first, you can copy and paste a post to the site when you're done, so time isn't wasted in the reply box and the site doesn't forget you're there. Hope that helps :)
