Arrogance seems to be a common occurrence in the world today. I've encountered people who automatically think they are better at me in a specific area (without even proper discourse), or just in general. I can honestly say it effects me quite a bit. Anyone else concerned when someone acts like this?

It's an annoying trait in most everyone now days but it's just something I ignore. If I give into letting it irritate me then I lose the control I have on my feelings and how I react to things.

Yeah I know lots of people who consider themselves to be better than others. I think they are *******s and dont give a **** about them. Just let them talk, but dont mind what they saying and work on yourself. Remember that in the end wins not the one who talks.

It's only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything. .

Its annoying really but you must confirm yourself that you are better than other people and you don't need to show it. You just need that you are the best despite your flaws because everyone has flaws. If a person brags about being the best he has trouble being the best.

Character is the only real measure of a person. If I see someone who is better than me in character, then good for that person. It's unlikely that person will brag anyway. There are some who will feel superior on the basis of things like looks, wealth, skills and experience. Especially the last two. It's great if you're blessed with something, but I don't think you should use this as a way to put down others less fortunate in that area.

Actually, I've had some encounters where someone tells me up front "I despise you and your kind." And I've never met that person or talked to him or even seen him before that and he certainly has not seen me before that.

It turns out that he has a grudge against anyone who goes to college or a higher level of education. I've also had people who are EXTREMELY snobbish due to their genius level IQs and those who are quite unassuming about their abilities. All depends on the individual.

People who think they are better than others have problems deep down inside that they either don't realize, are ignoring, or trying to deflect them by making others feel bad about themselves also.

I have encountered old people who say things behind my back, young people who say things behind my back, people who laugh in my face, coworkers who use me, even one guy shook his head at me because I wasn't talking loud enough. People who laugh at me make my thoughts go very very violent, but I have already sternly decided that I won't kill anyone.

Customers in fast food restaurants are the ****ING worst. **** them.

I can't stand people like that. They make me feel uneasy, especially if they start slagging other people off. I see the world a lot differently to these people. I tend to disregard any social viewpoint that puts one set of people above others. I see people as being more or less equal whatever they do or wherever they are. I don't really respect people who demand respect because of who they believe they are or where they have come from.
