If you could go back in time how old would you go back to?

Me, I would go back to when I was around 7 years old.. because it's the happiest I can remember i've been:thinking:

We moved to hell hole of a place on my 8th birthday.
Been down hill ever since.

So I would go back to 5 years of age and keep going back on a neverending loop.

5 to 8, 5 to 8, 5 to 8......:applause:

I would go back to Oct 9, 2008 and tell myself to start taking a different way to school and work (and actually just the nearby city in general), it would have saved me a world of pain and misery (no exaggeration)

Depends if we get to keep our memories of how things turned out along *this* path, right?

If we merely went back without our expanded knowledge and were confronted with the same options as before, then ultimately, things would turn out exactly how they are now...

Of course... there's *also* the 'nature vs nurture' question in regards to the various issues that we have now... were our problems caused by a single incident? Multiple incorrect choices that compounded into disorders? Things beyond our control that just *happened*? Or would we *always* turn out the way we have, no matter *what* options we took previously?

....

Still... *if* my issues were *only* borne of the choices I made up to this point, and I *could* go back with the knowledge that I have *now*... then I'd go back to around the 4th grade, when I was 9 or 10. From there, I'd devote myself to pursuing my two childhood dreams, instead of getting side-tracked by all the various *other* distractions in the world. Surely that would be heaps more fun... hopefully... maybe...

I'd go back to when I was getting ready to go to college > break up with boyfriend> live in dorms> finish school.

I've thought about this alot.
College was probably my happiest time and it was cut short because I was more invested in a relationship that was going to end soon enough rather than my own future and making new friends.

You want to know how I got these scars?
Going back to being a kid is tempting, but as long as I could retain what I know now, I'd go back to being about 25.
No real issues, physical or mental. Fit as a mallee bull. And generally happy .

The time I spend in the army, especially the last half.

All decisions made for me, food and clothing supplied, lots of time to read, no pressure to so******e, and as long as you do just slightly more than the other guys they leave you alone.

And no privacy, but it cannot be perfect.

I probably wouldn't want to go back. Growing up, I was picked on, called names, no friends. I am pretty much in the same boat now. People don't change, they only get worse. Bullying is worse nowadays more than ever, school shootings were not even heard of when I was a kid. Now that I am a grown adult,, the S*** never stops. You would think once you got up to be in a later age, things like being called names, people talking trash, threats, people treating you like S*** in general would get better.. but it doesn't. I remember kids acting like that and now we are in a world where people close to being senior citizens are acting like those mean kids. People aren't even growing up any, they are just going backwards. Sorry for the rant, but that's how people around me have been acting and it doesn't change.

Probably when I was in middle school. Around 2009. It wasn't the best time of my life, but I would like to try again and make it better.

Back to last Saturday evening, I had a lovely dinner.

In all honesty, I'd never go back. There was little good there, and whatever good was there was few and far between.

I'd much rather jump forward, maintaining my current age. ;)
