Default Iontophoresis long-term side effects

Has anyone been doing iontophoresis for many years? I am wondering if you can do some damage to your body via the introduction of aluminium, nickel and/or chromium ions into your body.

Don't know about that one...I guess it would have to be a really long time to even be able to get some anecdotal evidence on that.

The man of virtue makes the difficulty to be overcome his first business, and success only a subsequent consideration.

*sigh*

I've been doing it for about 3 years... I think I'm okay? I just had bloodwork done a few weeks back and the doc said I'm in prime condition aside from the HH.

Hi Broch, do you use stainless steel electrodes or alumimum ones?

Did you ever get any symptoms such as chest pain, coughing, skin irritation in areas other than the hands or feet you were treating, pimples etc...

I am getting such side effects, but not sure if they are related in any way to iontophoresis or just due to stress/diet/aging.

Someone posted a warning about the dangers of hexavalent chromium and nickel ions from steel electrodes on my forums, so that is why I am a bit paranoid lately.

Thanks for reading.

taking in aluminum at the amount that the ionto would give out is relatively safe. To be honest, anti-perspirant/deodorant would be more dangerous cuz theres usually a high content of aluminum zirconium that CAN help develop alzheimers for some individuals. But for the most part, you should be fine, don't stress it .

PS. nickel, chromium, iron, etc can all be found naturally in the human body.

Edit: etsveteran if your getting those type of side effects, you could be allergic to something that your using along the process imo

I've never had any side effects at all from ionto, provided you don't count the general itchiness of the skin after a treatment.
