Hello everyone. I have suffered form social anxiety for the past 4 years. I am now 17. I guess over the years I thought it would go away but it just got worse and worse. About 6 months ago I got up enough courage to actualy tell my parents I needed help. They had no idea i was suffering and they imiediatly took me to the docter. The docter prescribed ZOLOFT for me along with a recomandation to go to therepy. A couple months went by and slowly I got better. School was alsways my biggest fear. I hated talking to a teacher or even to another student. But now I can handle it with out a problem. I dont get the panic attacks, and i dont worry about if Im blushing or not. I just relax and I dont even think about it any more. I feel as if its almost gone. I went from having 3 or 4 anxiety attacks a day to rarley any. Infact i cant even remember the last time i had one. So my advice to everyone is to go get help. ZOLOFT work great for me. I am so thankful. The therepy helps too. And if your also a religous person you can try praying a lot. It defiantly helps. Dont give up. I kno how you all feel. Trust me Ive been there. You can get over this. Just belive.

I started taking zoloft about 2 months ago to treat my depression and social anxiety and so far my depression seems to be going away but i still suffer from sp but its not as severe as before.
