I am new to this forum and was just wondering what types of jobs people on here have. I have a really hard time talking to people but I really need to work. I know there aren't many jobs where you don't have to talk to anyone. People that aren't shy say just go out there and do it, it'll get better. They just don't understand.

work from home!

I work in computer graphics, mainly motion graphics. I use to work graveyard shift which was perfect and I could do my job in peace. I got a promotion and have to deal with clients more, but it's still 10-12 hours in front of a computer, I don't have to deal with people much at all.

Anything to do with computers is great for shy people. Most people assume introverts are good with technical stuff anyways... so being a shy/quarky/weird is a bit of an advantage.

Reminds me why I didn't follow my own choice at first. I've known since then that I am more of a computer person, not just because I surf a lot but I am more knowledgeable to techie stuffs compared to other people who's not in the computer industry. But well... I wasn't sure of my ambition that time, I followed the practical trend instead, which is a terrible job for someone like me who has an SA. :(

You can be a page in a library, most of your work is moving stuff around and restocking shelves. People aren't supposed to ask you questions but if they do just point them towards the reference desk.

after i read the content of this forum, i realized i do present symptoms of SA... it's hard to get a job and to be extroverted. i realized how much i had a hard time when i work at Staples.

recently i had an interview at a fashion retail store, but my interview didn't went well at all and the thought of getting to know people terrifies me. i probably cant get the job

some suggestion i have of a job is florist (floral arranger), interior design, translator, libarian, Automotive service technician , cost estimator, undertaker.

I'm absolutely terrified of interviews. I'm currently in college for Software Development and co-op is taking place in May 2012, with the interviews starting Feb 2012.

Having a stutter doesn't help at all, on top of that I never know what to say at all.

S*** sucks.

I drive a sweeper truck! You know those trucks that clean parking lots? My work starts at 9pm and ends usually around 9am. I work alone and might see or talk to my boss 6 times a year.

I like your job....I hope I'd find one just like that....how much do you get paid?

If only America still had factories. I could deal with repetitive and alienating work conditions in exchange for not having to interact with people. Besides, it couldn't be as alienating for me as working a service job where I have to deal with customers and fellow employees all day.
