Has anyone had their anxiety reduced or any other benefits from meditating? If so, what type do you do, for how long each time, and how long did it take before you noticed the benefits?

I do some meditation almost every day.

I started off with two minutes at a time, setting my timer. Now I do 15 minutes, and are planning on keeping it that long.

I'm not sure what type I am doing, or how good I am but I try my best to do what they say I should do.

It works for me. But it is not something you should do to relax. You should do it before you get upset while your mind is still in a good state.

It is one of those things where the improvement are incremental. Do not expect any miracles, but after a few months you will feel the benefits.

I've been listening to guided Buddhist meditation for awareness. I feel less anxious after find it very relaxing and I think it can help you focus on your goals and what's really important for you.
And there are many interesting meditation videos on YouTube. But learning from a real meditation group may be more efficient. Maybe in your city there are meditation classes you could try.
