Mortality and the Human Condition

Hi,

I've been feeling down a lot lately, so I made the logical decision and created an account on a random forum so that I could rant to my heart's content. Now you're here reading my said rant; congraturations.

Anyways, I was watching Good Will Hunting on Netflix (great movie by the way) and I got to thinking. What am I doing with my life? Yeah, I graduated high school, have a girl, in college, got a job, overcame some of life's complications. But what is it that I really want? Marriage, kids, family cookouts, and all that jazz? Maybe a cushy career that shoves money down my greedy, greedy throat. What about the bachelor lifestyle? Or perhaps I just want to live without boundaries and travel the world as a broke vagabond. However, I got to thinking some more and came to a different conclusion--death, donezo, pushing up daisies, kicking the bucket, meeting my maker's glorious, omnipotent arse in the mountains of Olympus. I could die at literally any moment. Sleep deprivation from typing ludicrous messages on the internet at I-don't-even-know-o'clock. Suffocation via Cheetos dust inhalation. Or maybe a car accident, but that's boring. Basically, does anything even matter? We don't know why we're here, or who watches over us (no matter how loud you scream at those who oppose you or read over a decrepit book). I could sit here and contemplate what would bring me the most joy in life, but ultimately I'm just gonna live my life however which way seems fit at the moment until something brings me to a stop. And even if I fail at one event in my life; there are a couple thousand other possibilities I could try out before I die. There doesn't seem to be any right or wrong way to live a life; you just simply do. However, us stupid humans like to organize and perfect every element of nature; which was obviously designed to be imperfect from the very beginning.

Well, I feel better now. You do you internet; I'm gonna go do something other than this.

Glad you got it out. People just feel better when there's a system in place that assures them everything's under control.
