I cant think of any movies that actually come out & MENTION social phobia...but I think May from the movie "May" has social phobia...also Carrie & Willard from those movies of the same title.

Gollum from lord of the rings sort of has it!

Peter Parker from spiderman...before he gets bitten

especially the way he goofs around and avoids talkin to Mary Jane

"punch-drunk love" by paul thomas anderson. The main character, Barry, played by Adam Sandler definitely has social phobia...plus a bunch of other crap, like OCD. This film inspired me loads...it was so good to see a character that was exactly like me...i'd definitely reccommend it.

There's this guy with SA in a movie called the Toybox. Not a theme in this sub-standard horror movie, though...

One time i saw a film called Phobic about a guy with complete agoraphobia. The biggest load of skiddy undercrackers I ever saw!.Plus the guy was cured just quick enough for his girlfriend in the movie and the audience watching not to lose interest...if only real life was like that eh.

Also an uncle of mine dropped a few download movies off at our house recently & i ended up half-watching one called Benchwarmers.I only saw bits but im pretty sure there was a guy with SP in there too.Although this was the brunt of all the jokes,as were small people, fat people, ugly people, foreign people...etc.

Geeze who writes these things and who watching it thinks there so above everything else that they can just laugh about it all.If you think you have no faults what so ever and you think other peoples misery is funny then you are missing your biggest fault!...your a prat! lol

I highly recommend this film to any1 with SA cos I could relate to it. Im nowhere near as bad as the guy in that film but its still interesting

There was a tv movie called "Speak" that's based on a book. i didn't see it but i was thinking about reading the book and just never got around to it. It's about a girl who develops sp/sm after getting raped over the summer. she basically stops talking and ends up being the outcast at school.

Saw punch-drunk love. An average movie overall but an excelent one from our phobic point of view. Strangely, but it seemd to me that the main character was only afraid of women ? :?

couldn't find Heavy, six ways to sunday, buffalo 66 and little voice, though. anyone got them . or maybe a link, something ? ...

The movie I list here is Napoleon Dynamite, there are some outcast over there, loners or what else you may call it, and I didn't get it in the end: were they antisocial or phobic, or what ? strange... :?

Yeah I watched punch-drunk love too. Good movie, I could relate with the main character but I don't think he really had a social phobia either.

Haha, yeah 40 year old virgin was hilarious. But i think the main character was more like a geek than a social phobic :D

foreign movie translated as Thomas In love, about social phobic (and agoraphobic) guy falling in love with online escort. It has a virtual feel about it but nice.
