Moving to anothercountry

Had a funny day today.

3rd day at my new university, things are turning out better than expected, I am soсialising with the staff and my teachers, yet I haven't made any friends. (I don't intend to, to be honest) , then on my way back to Paris, I took the RER train, was in the same seat than a russian couple and a german mother and her son, then got to the Paris prefecture to get a health checkup, I ended up as an interpreter to a bulgarian immigrant guy who didn't speak english or french, but just a little bit of russian.

Other than that, I am trying out new cheeses (they're very strong)....

Managed to get a room in a student / young workers accommodation even closer to my university, people are really cool here, had the occasion to meet some guys in the kitchen, they're mostly from the Caribbean and french overseas territories, they're organising some Halloween events, which I don't want to miss.

Other than that, I've jogged a bit on a big avenue full of tourists in the evening, that felt good.
Many people were staring at me, maybe because I run like a wimp, or just because of my slouched back. Anyways I don't care anymore!

I am not posting a lot on the forum lately, busy days.

Studying electrical engineering at university, practising full-contact there for 1h a week as well (I get to punch people and get punched back, which is good), I am planning to subscribe to a free-swimming course at some local pool, to correct my kyphosis and lordosis. And improving my Russian when I have the time.

I am getting used to jogging too, for about 3 / 4 times a week, at night, I am still having the impression that people are staring at me, I have weak abs due to my lordosis, so I am basically running like a 70 years old person with his back slouching...

There was a woman today that made a sarcastic comment when she saw me doing knee-ups....as if my intention was to show off or something. There were a lot of people around, and I didn't mind her at all, victory!

Had a very exciting week.

Two days in a row I made two unusual acquaintances in the RER train.

One with a Russian family living in France, they were seated next to me and they engaged conversation after noticing me studying Russian stuff on my tablet haha.

The other one with two north american girls, studying not far from where I live, one was Canadian, I teased her a bit about "eh" and "abooot".

You'll never get bored in these trains!
