My best friend doesn't even like hanging out anymore

Recently I had my best friend over for the night. All he did from the time he got here to the time he left was that he played video games on his laptop. Barely speaking to me and sometimes just being rude. He left all his garbage in my room and left a dirty plate. I proposed we do different things together and he declined saying that he couldn't leave the game. He has autism like me and I knew him since I was 2 he's my best friend, he is like a brother to me.

Ever since he got his laptop from a school grant though, all he ever does is game on his laptop non stop, he also bought a gaming laptop which was way out of the range the school would pay for but he got it anyway. I also noticed that now if I try to talk to him he gets mad at me and calls me nasty things. It's like the laptop took over his life. I talked to my parents about it tonight and they said I shouldn't invite him over anymore etc. I'm a gamer myself but I try and make a healthy combination. I want to help him but I don't want him to hate me.

il tell ya, technology and the internet is great but it also ruins relationships and im not kidding..i hate to admit it but much of the tie id rather sit and surf the internet, read about things i like than have casual conversation with my friends..sounds bad doesnt it?

ive been where you are OP, ive been with friends that will either talk on their cell in my presence or play games..as soon as they start to do either i make it known i am ready to leave...

i dunno how it would be dealing with an autistic friend..
