my plan to leave my room

i want to be transparent about why i do the things i do. social anxiety means i prefer to live within the safe confines of my room and behind a glowing screen. it has only made the anxiety worse. my goal is to try to have as little alone time as possible. sounds extreme, eh? fine, but i have to understand that alone time means losing touch with the world

Actually, you don't prefer to live within the confines of your room, otherwise you wouldn't be making the observation (and a correct one) that it makes you lose touch with the world (meaning, it's a negative thing). Your reaction to your anxiety is what's making you hide away.

Acknowledging all the harm you're doing to yourself is a great first step, though.
