I'll say, I'm starting to not like coming here if some loser is gonna go and start fuckin around. Are some people really that desperate for attention? Its kinda sad how they are doing this on this site, specially since young people come here and the people here are actually looking for help not some loser posting crap with 50 different accounts.

I can't sit here 24/7 and shield every member from every troll post or somehow know some member is abusing you in private messages. I simply can't solve all the problems on my own in an instant
Thelema's right, the lack of webmaster was infuriating 4 years back when I started moderating, it led to the end of my moderating as I got sick of trying to contact him with no result.

Who wants to be a mod anyway, all this shit you've got lately is exactly what you get most of the time as a moderator, someone complains about someone abusive, you intervene and then it's you as moderator get the abuse....

Part of me would like to apply; the trouble is, as far as I see it, we need the webmaster to come along and actually grant some people here administrative clout. And until he returns, that's not going to happen. Good modship/administration is 99% diplomatic skills IMO but there's always that final 1% of the time you need to be able to ban, suspend or whatever.
I think also that a real, co-ordinated effort needs to be made on this, so that a whole, fresh team of mods are elected. Perhaps a private section to the forum would help too, for them to discuss problems as they arise, although with the PM system that's not strictly necessary.
I have limited mod abilities on another forum, although I didn't ask for them. I just logged in one day and my name was bright green instead of... whatever the normal colour was again. Hey presto, the top level admin there had a new team of three, all of whom strove to do the best job they could.
I think that, although that is a sneaky ploy, it's worth the webmaster trying if/when he gets back. It is easier to get forgiveness than permission, after all

I'd be willing to moderate, since I've done it a few times in the past (other forums, obviously), and no one really complained. Can't be that much of a hassle, as long as you're not a complete idiot.
Of course, this isn't going to happen, because the Webmaster is probably so sick of this place he doesn't even care.

I would be happy to step up and mod if Im only expected to remove obvious troll activity and yuck.
Kind of a scary job for a social phobic, expected to kind of referee in a way.
We should support our mods and back them , not critise their decisions on things.....can't be easy for them. They are doing this as a volunteer to make this place nicer for us and we need to remember they are just people like us who have issues and may not be 100% here.
Im having bad issues at the moment and Im about to go in to an eating disorder unit so may not be around completely, but Im willing to do what I can to help if anyone can locate the webmaster.

I don't think it's realistic to expect people to migrate, though. Started a social phobia forum last spring to find out if there was demand for another, and my conclusion has been that there isn't.

For a start i wasnt complaining...about there being a lack of moderators..Do i think the site needs more yes..But im not trying to blame you for that,and no where did i ask you to put on your superman costume and try and shield every member.Cos i apprecate this site is to big for one mod to be able to do everything.

The op was merley asking if this site was moderators and all i did was say you was one :?
